Reposted from Yes, I took a selfie of me crying. Why? Because I just had a real sh*tty client. And a real sh*tty day. I originally took the day off to be with my kids, but last minute decided I would come in, and do just one client. Long story short, this lady stole my money, and time with my children. You might wonder why I’m posting this? Well, it’s because I know this happens a lot to other stylists. We never really talk or post about it on social media. But it happens to ALL of us, and sometimes, even from our closest friends. So I want to take a second to tell YOU you are a great hairdresser, and you’re not alone. It’s part of the job to have some unhappy clients. No matter how good you are. Or how hard you tried. Or how many years you have under your belt. AND for all those people who think being a hairstylist is an “easy” job, you’re so so wrong. It’s emotionally, physically and mentally draining. We spend all day, on our feet, trying to make others feel better about themselves...On top of listening to all your problems. So I want you all to go tell your hairstylist right now how much you love and appreciate her/him. She/he needs to hear it.
