Alice here...I'm happy to say business is improving every week! My hairdressers are busy and happy, our nail area is almost back to pre Pandemic days and we still serve bagels on Saturdays with a special treat of homemade brownies by a very special client of mine, Judy. I know there are many salons in Coral Springs but I truly believe my little "gem" is something special. Our team is educated and professional without being "stuffy." My salon has been compared to "Truvys" from Steel Magnolias. When I hear a client say that, it makes me smile. I LOVE that movie and this is exactly the type of salon I was creating. If you know anyone looking for a change in a salon, a hairdresser or nail tech...please let them know of our little hidden gem! Thank you everyone for supporting us all these years! After 44 years in the nail business I think I have seen it all. Every product, every treatment, every procedure that promises beautiful healthy, natural nails. Unfortunately we all want beautiful, natural nails YESTERDAY! It takes time and patience to get those types of nails. To all the women who have told me their natural nails are awful and always break, the Pandemic proved otherwise. Many of my clients texted me pictures of their "natural" nails. They were amazed at how nice they were! It takes time and patience! From someone who wore acrylics FOREVER, (me) let's discuss something. The price of gel polish and the "dip" is getting out of control. I know the price of products have increased therefore we must pass the increase onto the client. What about a good old fashioned manicure instead? Invest in your natural nails. Give them a break. Manicuring is an art. Now don't get me wrong...I will still do gel polish and acrylic for those who want to stay with those options. I also do silk wraps. Let me know if you are interested in giving your nails a rest. I'm sure they will appreciate it!!

We have a new hairdresser at Alice's Place!! Heather Heller has joined us from Boston Boston. She was there for 24 years! Heather is a perfect fit in our little beachy salon. Stop by for an introduction...she will make you smile 🙂

Boy it's been a long time since I was on my page! I apologize! Summer has arrived and it's time to get rid of our Covid hair...whether you want to enhance your grey or go back to color we are here to help. My girls do the best bobs for the summer! Our mani pedis are awesome...I have all the newest gel polishes and fabulous new pedi spas. Gillian, Natalie, Laura and I would love to pamper you. Give us a call...you won't be sorry!! 954 688 6537

Alice here...I just wanted to let you all know how grateful and thankful Natalie, Laura and I are to see those who have been coming into the salon since our reopening and we miss everyone else who are not ready to come in yet. We totally understand. This virus is no joke! Please, everyone, stay safe...stay healthy...and hopefully we will see you all real soon!!!

OK!!!! It's time to get back to doing nails, toes and hair!!!! Alice's Place will be opening on Tuesday May 19th. Lots of new rules to follow...
1. No mask...NO SERVICE!!
2. 1 operator and 1 client at a time. Bookings will be wider apart.
3. Temperatures will be taken as soon as you arrive. IF you feel anything...allergies, lethargy, headache...please reschedule. We have all learned we can do without getting our hair, nails and toes done for months!! Let's just be safe!!
4. Please text or call your operator from your car when you arrive so we can make sure the client before you is finished. You may have to wait a few minutes in your car...check Facebook, play Words With Friends, whatever you need to do while you wait. If you are in a hurry, reschedule.
5. I can no longer, for now, put cookies out. Bring a little nosh for yourself although I have that great jar of pretzels in the kitchen!
6. Please do not wear gloves in the salon. Gloves put on BEFORE you came won't work. Just come in and we can wash our hands together with the 50 bottles of fabulous Bath and Bodyworks foamy soap I have purchased during my stay at home these past few months!! Every station has a new bottle of hand sanitizer as well.
7. I have had the salon professionally cleaned and it will be professionally sanitized this Sunday. I will sanitize it weekly to ensure our safety and yours. I have installed a plexiglass shield on my nail station. Now our transactions can look like we are in the bank!!
8. All appointments are by appointment only! Do not bring tag a longs...and I don't mean the girl scout cookies! No one can come in unless they have an appointment.
9. Our Natalie promises to be on time and not roam the plaza anymore!! LOL!!! (we will see...)
10. And finally...I have missed EVERYONE!! I learned during this epidemic that I am NOT ready to retire!!! I will work until I can no longer hold a nipper!!!
P.S. I have purchased many pairs of shoes during this time so keep your eyes on my feet!!!!!
