A little TLC at home for my hair today!

Coconut oil- it has a lot of good benefits but as far as the hair when it comes to over all hydration we can do without it. Why? Although coconut water it very hydrating but coconuts including it's oil have a lot of protein in it also. Too much protein makes the hair dry and brittle. I get the idea behind using coconut oil and it's the only oil that does absorb but what's not mentioned about it is that it's full of protein. Great for eating but when used often on the hair it can be too much. Coconut oil can be misleading because I must admit it feels good when you first put it on but you will notice hours or the next day or so your hair will feel a little dryer and harder which is what protein suppose to do. Remember too much of it can be damaging. I personally don't use it at all or no other oils. Quite frankly your hair doesn't need it.

Up reading an article about moisture and hydration. The article is very misleading but I don't think it was the author's intention. My point for posting this is I want you to understand. Oil does NOT seal in water because water and oil DON'T mix. They've never mixed and never will mix. The functions of oil and water don't magically change when you put it in your hair. They still don't mix and that's FACT. The true cure for dryness in any situation including hair is hydration. What is hydration! WATER! What's the opposite of water OIL! care for you
