This is exactly why I recommend keeping your sew-in in for no longer than 8 weeks, especially if you have fine hair. Your natural hair continues to shed underneath the install, and the longer it stays in, the more tangled that shed hair can become with your new growth.

When I took this sew-in down, we had some serious detangling to do. 😩
