Chessie & her owner are the type of horse & rider pair that makes my job a dream - I’ve loved to see her glow up! ✨🐎
I was first called out earlier this spring when Chessie started having some bucking fits on the trail - definitely not desirable. Her owner wanted to dig into the cause & get this thoroughbred mare that she had recently acquired the full rehab she deserved. Through nutrition counseling, consistent bodywork, muscle maintenance between sessions, and groundwork and riding to build muscle - Chessie is looking AMAZING - shiny, better muscling, and at a great weight. 👏🏼
I always enjoy our sessions because Chessie gives excellent feedback on where she needs some extra TLC & you can literally see and feel the tension releasing from her body. A solid mare & rider all around who I appreciate so much! 💜

If all you’re doing with your horse is chiro and/or PEMF then you aren’t taking care of your horse’s musculoskeletal system. You may think you are, but you aren’t.
You’ll also find that each individual massage therapist, and other types of soft tissue workers, will differ in their approach, and so will vary in their effectiveness.
Function will follow form which means if the muscles are tight, imbalanced or set in a particular functional pattern, that’s how your horse will go. To interrupt the set in their ways muscle (and neuromuscular) patterns and help your horse move forward towards a more functional, higher performing ambidexterity, find yourself an effective, experienced massage therapist, preferably one with a solid sport horse background. Even your backyard horse will benefit from it.

K-taping can take your bodywork & its effects to the next level. ❤️🩹
Tape is like a flashlight.
I could walk through a room in the dark avoiding obstacles and legos, but it would be more efficient with a flashlight.
The flashlight alone didn’t protect your feet from the Lego’s, but it made the efforts more effective.
The tape shines a light on areas of the body so that the nervous system, blood system, and lymph system can do what they do best: heal.
Tape helps:
relax muscles
engage muscles
promote fluid movement
tap into what is hard for the horse to find
Doing manual work?
Physical exercise? Down training? Strength training?
Tape magnifies all of the efforts.
It’s an asset to anyone’s program.
