🎓 BIG NEWS for Catawba Springs Massage! 🐊💙

I’m incredibly excited to share that today I was officially accepted into the University of Florida’s online Master of Science program in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology – Human Performance!

This one means a lot to me.

After more than 25 years as a massage therapist, I still have the same curiosity about the human body that I had when I first started. The more I learn, the more I realize there is always another level of understanding when it comes to movement, physiology, recovery, performance, pain, and overall wellness.

And I’m especially proud to be continuing that education through the University of Florida, whose Kinesiology & Exercise Science program is nationally recognized and ranked among the very best in the country.

For my clients, this means I’ll continue doing what I’ve always tried to do at Catawba Springs Massage — keep learning, keep growing, and keep bringing more knowledge into the treatment room.

And before anyone asks… I’m not moving to Florida! 😂🐊
The program is 100% online, so Catawba Springs Massage isn’t going anywhere and my current hours are not changing.

I officially begin in Spring 2027, and I’m genuinely excited about where this next chapter will take me — both personally and professionally.

Catawba Springs Massage in Denver, NC, is looking for a professional, caring, and dependable Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist to join our established practice.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a therapist who wants to build or expand their clientele in a welcoming, professional setting—without having to start completely from scratch.

I would also welcome someone who is interested in bringing additional therapeutic modalities or specialized services to the practice. I’m open to ideas that complement massage therapy, expand what we can offer, and provide meaningful benefits to our clients.

What’s available:

• A fully furnished massage room
• An established and highly rated local practice
• Online scheduling and business exposure
• Opportunities for new-client referrals
• A comfortable waiting area and professional environment
• Flexible availability, with evenings and weekends especially needed
• Support and mentorship from a therapist with more than 25 years of experience
• The opportunity to introduce complementary modalities or specialty services

The ideal therapist will be:

• Currently licensed and insured in North Carolina
• Skilled, compassionate, and client-focused
• Dependable, professional, and respectful
• Comfortable working independently and managing their own practice responsibilities
• Interested in developing lasting therapeutic relationships with clients
• Excited about contributing ideas and potentially expanding the services available at Catawba Springs Massage

Experience in therapeutic, neuromuscular, sports, prenatal, medical, or deep-tissue massage is a plus, but the right personality and commitment to excellent client care are equally important.

Such a great weekend of learning! 💜

I spent the last two days at NC Massage School in Cornelius taking Practical Cupping & Gua Sha with Nate Novgrod, L.Ac. This was a fantastic hands-on class covering cupping therapy, Gua Sha, safety, contraindications, different tools and techniques.

After more than 25 years in massage therapy, I still love learning new techniques and finding new ways to help my clients feel and move better. There is always more to learn, and that’s one of the things I love most about this profession!
