The after thought and reflection was this wasn’t just me thinking, “I’m afraid of heights.”

I could feel it throughout my body.

Walking around the Grand Canyon, I felt almost like I had vertigo. My nerves were firing, my joints felt tense, and then I’d watch people get incredibly close to the edge or take risks that seemed way too dangerous to me and my anxiety would shoot through the roof.

And honestly, it reminded me of something I feel in business too.

Watching people make decisions that directly affect your world. People you’re relying on, people you’re leading, people you’re trusting to execute. You can’t control it. You can guide, you can communicate, you can set expectations but you can’t make the choice for them. And sometimes it feels like you’re the one with everything on the line while you’re just watching it unfold.

Because here’s another part of fear I’m learning about:

Sometimes it isn’t even what we’re doing.

It’s watching the people around us make choices we can’t control.

And isn’t that life?

Business. Leadership. Family. Relationships.

You can communicate. You can teach. You can prepare. You can give someone every tool you possibly can and ultimately, you still cannot control another person’s choices.

You can’t control every outcome either.

That can be incredibly uncomfortable.

At the Grand Canyon, I literally had to get down and crawl to move through some of that fear.

And I did.

Not because I conquered it.
Not because I suddenly became comfortable with heights.

I did it because I’m trying to get stronger at being uncomfortable without allowing fear to control my decisions.

That’s becoming a much bigger lesson for me.

I don’t have to control everything around me to trust myself within it.

I can control how I respond.
I can communicate.
I can make decisions.
I can set boundaries.
I can learn.
I can adjust.
And I can keep moving forward.

Maybe strength isn’t becoming fearless.

Maybe it’s building enough trust in yourself to know that when fear, uncertainty, or things outside of your control show up you can handle yourself thro

Hair Hot Take: Air drying isn’t always the healthier option. 👀

It sounds backwards, but letting your hair stay wet for hours can actually put stress on the hair strand. Hair is at its weakest when it’s wet, so the longer it stays saturated, the more opportunity there is for swelling, friction, tangles, and breakage.

A properly done blow dry doesn’t automatically equal damage.

✨ The key is:

* Use a heat protectant.
* Blow dry on medium heat instead of max heat.
* Keep the dryer moving.
* Finish once your hair is completely dry.

A quick, protected blow dry is often healthier than walking around with wet hair for hours.

So tell me… are you Team Air Dry or Team Blow Dry? 👇

Strength doesn’t always look the way people think it does.

Sometimes it’s pushing through.
Sometimes it’s asking for help.
Sometimes it’s taking a break so you don’t break.

I’ve learned that resilience isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s giving yourself permission to rest, regroup, and then get back up.

Sometimes life wins the battle, but it never gets the final word.

The goal isn’t to never fall.
The goal is to never stop getting back up.

Every challenge has the opportunity to make you wiser, stronger, and more prepared for what’s next.

Don’t let today decide your tomorrow.

What’s something you’ve overcome that made you stronger? ❤️

Working out together, even though we do our own things. Brings me joy and it’s fun to flirt across the gym. It’s almost like a mini date.
