So grateful to KP Vibes Entertainment for choosing to support Coastal NICU Care Boxes 💚 We’re so excited to see the auction come together!

Sometimes NICU hope looks like this. 💚 A former NICU baby, sitting in a ball pit at a birthday party, just living his little life.

There was a time when our days looked so different; when so much felt uncertain and we were simply hoping for the chance to bring him home and watch him grow. And now I get to watch him explore, play, experience new things at his own pace, and have ordinary little moments that once felt anything but ordinary.

He, along with his sister, is the reason Coastal NICU Care Boxes exists. They are the reason behind every box packed, every NICU mom we hope to encourage, and every reminder that even in some of the hardest days, there can still be so much hope ahead.

The NICU will always be part of his story, her story, and part of mine. But it’s not the whole story.

Seeing all of these boxes packed up and headed into the NICU will never feel ordinary to me. Each one represents a mama walking through days I know all too well, and I hope even something small inside reminds her that she is seen, supported, and not alone.

We also brought a little extra love for the incredible NICU staff who pour so much into these babies and their families every single day. 💐

So grateful for everyone who has donated, shared, supported, or helped make Coastal NICU Care Boxes possible. Today, 43 more NICU moms get a little piece of that love. 🫶🏼

September is NICU Awareness Month. 💚

For the entire month of September, we honor the tiniest fighters, the moms walking through days no one can fully understand unless they’ve lived them, and the incredible NICU teams who care for these babies and stand beside their families through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Coastal NICU Care Boxes was created to bring a little comfort, encouragement, and reminder that NICU moms are seen, supported, and never alone.

This month, I’ll be sharing more about the NICU journey, ways to support local NICU moms and staff, and the people and businesses helping make these care boxes possible.

To every NICU mom, whether you’re in the thick of it right now or your NICU days are part of your story forever, you are seen. You are loved. You are not alone. 💚

Here’s to a month of awareness, compassion, advocacy, and showing up for our local NICU community.

September is NICU Awareness Month 💙

Coastal NICU Care Boxes is asking our community to help us support the incredible mommas walking through the NICU journey, and the medical staff caring for their little ones every day. I don’t know what I would have done without the NICU nurses who quite literally held me up during the hardest days.

We’re looking for donations, care box ideas, and community support as we continue creating boxes filled with comfort, encouragement, and practical items for NICU moms and staff.

Every contribution, big or small, helps us remind a NICU mom that she is seen, supported, and not alone. And for September we want to recognize the super hero NICU staff as well!

I’ve read this message over and over. 🤍

One of our Coastal NICU Care Boxes was given to a mom during an unimaginable moment.

And of everything inside the box, the handwritten note was what brought her to tears.

That has stayed with me.

I’ve been the mom that never brought her baby home from NICU, and I’ve been the mom that did.

Coastal NICU Care Boxes was created because I know how long, lonely, overwhelming, and life-changing the NICU can be. These boxes were never meant to simply be a collection of things. They’re meant to remind a mom that someone sees her, someone is thinking of her, and she isn’t alone.

Knowing that one of our boxes offered even a small amount of comfort during a moment like this means more to me than I can put into words.

I’m incredibly grateful to this NICU nurse for reaching out and for allowing me to share her message anonymously. 🤍
