The term adhesion is thrown around way too loosely in this arena. This is NOT an adhesion. This is straight up scar tissue from a partial tear. ⭕️ I think many clinicians visualize this as the knots and sticky areas they are feeling with their fingers under the skin when doing soft tissue work. This is not an adhesion. Scar tissue will form after a major injury, and cross bonded collagen will restrict tissues from sliding and gliding the way they are meant to. Getting a cup or other instrument assisted tool to these tissues during the healing process will help organize and improve the tensile strength as you begin to load more after an injury, such as this.
