Happy Veterans Day to all whom have served.

I am happy you are home, I am happy you survived, I am grateful you served, and I believe God has a special reward for those who risk their lives for their nation, for righteousness and not wickedness.

When I was young I didn’t see the purpose, and thought people were wild for wanting to be in the military. I was very ignorant, and today as an adult, I believe we should go above and beyond for our men and women who served and who serve.

It’s very Christ-like for you to serve, to lay your life down for people who don’t even appreciate you, much like Jesus. He died for EVERYONE, including those who mocked Him. On the cross He said Father forgive them for they do not know. He forgave the ones who killed Him. Who didn’t appreciate what He did. And He would still accept them into His Kingdom, if they confess with their mouth and believe in their hearts that Jesus is Lord and Savior and that God raised Him from the dead on the third day.

Much like the men and women who serve our country, to keep our freedoms, to keep us safe from countries who want to kill us, to harm us. They fight for freedom and what’s right.

Many don’t understand, what these men and women who serve do, what they see, how hard it is to come back and be a civilian. All we see is a hat or an old uniform and don’t think about what they’ve actually seen or done. The emotions they hold deep inside. The trauma they can never come to cope with. They aren’t just average civilians, they are hero’s and they deserve respect and honor. We’re so blessed to be in a country where we can fight over stupid political things while in other country’s they get killed for not abiding.

I don’t know how else to honor people who risk their lives, but to say thank you, I see you, I pray for you, your heart, your mind, and God sees you ultimately. Thank you for serving our country, from the gorious things you’ve seen, to the ones who think they don’t do much, thank you for doing something unthinkable, for standing for our country, and risking your life, so we can live in a safe country. And forgive those who just don’t understand what you’ve truly been through.

What’s a base break, and why do you need it?

Base breaks isn’t a service you hear much on, but I live by them!

Let’s start with what they do; Base Break lightens the natural up to one shade lighter, it opens the cuticle, and releases some melanin to the service, giving a brighter effect.

Why is that a good thing?

It’s a good thing because it softens the contrast of the natural to highlights. Getting rid of “stripes” and harsh grow outs. Allowing guest to go several additional weeks without getting highlights!

This service makes the hair look less like zebra stripes, and more natural.

Base breaks are good to do during your highlight service and around the 4-5 week mark.

This photo shows 4 weeks worth of hair growth. It has been 4 weeks since we did a full set of highlights. Today’s service we did a base break (and toner/treatment)

You can see in the second and fourth photos the finish product and how much softer the growth looks. Looking as if she just got a full set of highlights done!
