“Be Kind” ✨ When I was 19 I failed a Semester of Cosmetology School. I remember coming home after receiving the news that I would not be able to graduate the same semester as my initial peers and just having a full on 🖕🏻F**K COSMETOLOGY moment🖕🏻very reminiscent of the emotions I felt the day I failed my driving exam when I was 16 lol. I cried and cried and bi***ed and moaned and cried some more. Who fails cosmetology school?!?! 🥴 What you have to understand is that in the full course of being in school I did everything BUT what school was there for. I did everything BUT my assigned work lol!!!! When you are a creative you make your own rules, when you are passionate about your calling you learn how to do everything by trial and error on your own. THAT is how we create our own techniques and signature styles. I can’t believe I was so unkind to myself back then. I can’t believe I allowed myself to feel discouraged in that moment, can you imagine if I had quit there! Barely in the beginning! Crazy Right. Crazy to think that that was my mindset 5 years ago and here I am with a whole ass fu***ng Hair Salon!! Ah! I got this tattoo as a reminder to not only “Be Kind” to others but also to “Be Kind” to myself. ❤️ I can be so hard on myself sometimes it’s sad lol. I take my work wayyyyyyYYYyyyYyyyyyy too seriously at times 😅 Be Kind to yourself girl, you’re doing just fine ✨
