Some things were non-negotiable from the start!

✨️ Knowing and setting my boundaries at the beginning! This especially included not tolerating any inappropriate behavior or messages. I wanted a professional business and I still stand firm on that.

✨️ Setting my schedule! I saw too many people burning out because they felt they had to squeeze in everyone at the expense of their work/life balance. Not here. Right from the start I had days off that I would not give up. This has saved me from overworking myself and prioritizes my mental and physical health as well.

✨️ Did not try to please everyone! I learned early on what service I was good at providing. I did not challenge that at the request of others. I understood that I may not be for everyone, and that is ok.

✨️ Took tips from others, with a grain of salt. The advice I received was always welcomed! But some of it didn't apply to how I wanted my business to work. There is no one right way to do it all. If you have a vision, follow it.

These are just a few examples of things I did when starting my business that I feel helped create the business I truly wanted.
