🌈 Sapphic Scissors Social 9/25 5pm to 10pm
and COLLAB!!! We will be doing free haircuts for our local sapphic community to celebrate butch aesthetics, sapphic love, and le***an culture!

🌈OC Pride 9/27 12pm to 10pm
Find us at OC Pride in Artist Alley!!! We’ll be doing haircuts, bang trims, braiding, tinsel and glitter!! We will also be collaborating with and several local LGBTQ+ friendly hairdressers in Orange County to get OC connected with amazing hair professionals!

🌈 Crafts at the Park 9/28 4pm to 7pm
Meet up with us at Tewinkle Park and bring a work in progress to hang, decompress and meet other local crafting friends in OC.

🌈Exploratory Vivids Class 9/29 11am to 3pm
We are SO EXCITED to announce we are teaching a class at the amazing .belong.hair in Orange, CA! This class is for licensed professionals only and for all skill levels. It’s focused on the foundation of vibrant colors with a mindful and light-hearted approach. More detail to come but if you’re already sold, tickets are in the link tree!

🌈 9/30 to 10/4 HAIR PARTYYYY at the Salon!!!

We are ALSO so excited to announce this special deal for the week Bryan is here to get a discounted rate of $100/hour (gratuity free) when you book with a friend, or two, or three!! Pay what you can haircut day is coming in literally so hot. It’s hot. 🥵 I wanna help to make sure you’re feeling FRESH. No AC? Haircut! Get bangs! 🎺🎺🎺

This Friday, September 5th from 10am to 4pm I will be taking hour long appointments to do haircuts at whatever you’re able to pay.

That could be $0 and up! My full rate is $125 so this is a fantastic time to try me out and see if we’re a good fit!

I do this to take care of my community and I know not everyone is able to make haircutting a priority. This is open to students, unemployed, anyone on government assistance and especially TGI and BIPOC community!

🚨Don’t book if you aren’t sure you can make it!
There are limited spots and I want to get in as many people as I can. No shows will be unable to book any future appointments with Happy Lab.

Hey OC! The unlawful and egregious ICE raids are still happening all over the U.S. and very much so in OC.

I know so many people out there working so hard to show up for community through ice watch, food drives, and monetary aid. If you aren’t sure how to help please ask me, I’m a beacon of info and happy to help you find a way you can donate time/money to helping our community members.

We truly need to step up for each other and I know sometimes it can feel like you don’t have time but I guarantee you, helping out helps those feelings of helplessness.

Saturday, sept 13th there will be a drive thru food drive and we’re looking for volunteers to help keep things organized and efficient to get food to families.

If you can’t volunteer but you have something to give, IKEA in Costa Mesa has a donation bin that’s available during store hours for drop off and will be available all September so take a look at the slide to see what’s needed.

Much 💚 to my friends and OC community who are being terrorized by this admin. Happy Lab remains a place firm in our devotion to not only make badass hair but uplift and support our community 💪

Hiii. I’m gonna be limited on social media and I’ll be out of the salon this week! I might still post in the meantime. I dunno. We’ll see. I’ve been going hard since April so it’s time for a lil break. 🥰

Super stoked to have been part of the planning crew for Santa Ana Pride on June 28th, 10am to 7pm in downtown Santa Ana. I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into this event with some very very cool homies and I’m ready to share it with you all!

Check out posts for deetz on all the booths and musicians playing that day but FOR SURE come say hi to me!! I’ll be at the booth ALLLL DAYYY 10am to 7pm. And if you wanna help in anyway we are looking for volunteers to help with set up 8:30am to 10am or tear down 6:30 to 7:30.

Things are fu**in weird and scary and there’s a lot of bu****it out there but joy in community is resistance and we have to meet with each other, listen to music, learn from each other, share resources and fu**in survive.
