One kiddo is headed to middle school, the other to 2nd grade, and somehow I blinked and we got here.

This year was full of new adventures, unexpected lessons, and more growth than I could have imagined. Working within the district has been humbling, eye-opening, and incredibly valuable. I don’t think I’ve ever had to pivot, adapt, and think on my feet quite like I have as a substitute teacher.

To the staff and students at Newport Elementary School and Pullman Elementary School—thank you.

You’ve challenged me, encouraged me, made me laugh, and helped me grow in ways I didn’t know I needed. What started as a new chapter became a surprising and extremely rewarding experience but most importantly I felt valued.

I’m grateful for every classroom, every conversation, every student, and every lesson learned along the way. ❤️
