Hello beauties!! I have 2 model spots available for a new extension method!! The quality of the hair is amazing and they are designed to be extremely customizable!! No more sewing for hours!! This method will significantly cut down the time you spend in my chair, I know sad 😢 🤭 , but also YAAAY right?!?!
I’ve done one model so far, switching her from the sewn in hidden bead method we’ve been doing on her for over a year now. She absolutely loves the new hair and installation!! Right away she noticed how light & comfortable they were!! They lay flat on the head with no lumps or bumps, more comfortable to sleep in, virtually invisible, and can be flipped up comfortably right after install and worn in a high pony/bun!!!

There were so many vendors at the “Health in Focus” event that still showed up for the LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 community!!! It was a hot day, but a great day to support our friends, families, & loved ones who don’t always have a safe space!! Thanks to everyone that stopped by our booth!! First time client, but long time friend came to spend the day with me!! 😊
(I forgot the before pic again 🤪 so she sent me a couple she found that kinda show how far her outgrowth was)

She traded in her old shorter extensions and said I’m ready for some length!!! When we started her extension journey in November 2024 she had an above the shoulder bob!!!! She has naturally fine hair that is on the thinner side and with her extensions she was able to have instant fullness and extra length. Those were 16inches but we did cut some of the length since she wasn’t used to having long hair! Today we left the length and she left with a long shiny mane!!!
(I forgot to take a before picture today, so I’m using a previous before picture just for reference of her natural hair)

After a lot of consideration, with the changes to the event on Saturday, the decision was made to show up and show out!! We will still be there to represent the community and what we believe in!! PRIDE & inclusivity for ALL!! Come see us and show your support too!! 🌈

This Saturday June 6th was to be Pride In Focus 2026 hosted by Pott County Health Services. We were so excited about this event, something CB needs and something that hasn’t happened in such a long time! We were even more excited when we got the opportunity to be a vendor for the event!!

Friday it was noticed that some words on the event description had changed and so I got to work on figuring out what was going on, after some classic PI work online I found what had caused the change.

A church in Council Bluffs decided they didn’t like Pott County was willing to host this type of event. Pott County Board of Supervisors listened to what the local church said and has changed all verbiage of the event and it is now Health In Focus 2026, there is actually zero verbiage about the LGBTQ+ community at all.

I went back and forth on how I wanted to handle this with the salon being a vendor. The most frustrating part I think is probably that none of the vendors were contacted about the change, it was almost done in such a sneaky under the radar way. Today I received an email stating that the event had turned into a PRIDE event and it was never meant to be that it was always to focus on health with a focus on lgbtq+, the email stated that our tables can still have pride items. It is an interesting attempt as a cover up.
Through out the weekend I have had such a roller coaster of emotions from anger to sadness to “screw that we will be over the top” strength. I am not sure what would be best for myself or the salon if I am being completely honest so please have grace if you disagree…. WE WILL BE THERE SATURDAY JUNE 6TH 10am-1PM!

I keep going back to how important it is that at minimum one table there shows support for our community, so I decided we will bring the glitter and rainbows still Saturday. *Fingers crossed we aren’t all of the sudden told we can’t do that day of*

Banding on banding, 7 hours later…
The before pictures show:
Top section-
•Her natural/outgrowth
•previously colored black band
•previously lighted band we colored over last time with black and it has faded to brown (from her previous red root color)
•black ends
Bottom section-
•top is 5 months of outgrowth
•the rest we had previously lightened and has faded magenta.
(Being transparent: Our goal was purple all over. The end result is as even as we could get in one session with the black/different banding. Next time should be much more even! She was happy in the end and that’s what matters most to me!!! AND the integrity of her hair!!! So shiny and soft even after color remover and bleach!!)
