Faith, Cuts, & Nail Dust

She sparked my creativity & got me back in the swing of things, my first nail client in a minute 😅 (hair has just taken over lately.)

I could totally have redone the candy canes, I was trying something new but it didn’t look exactly like I wanted it too but it’s 3D and cool so whatever 🤣 Santa’s hat was too cute 🥰

Extensions are growing on me more and more the more that I learn. 🫣

I did this KTip Fusion install this week and kicked ass. Not only did it look clean & precise (despite my picture taking ability) but I did it in a timely manner considering my level of experience! Not only did I do her installation but I also turned her uncomfortable, thick wefted extensions into individually pieced (most importantly, comfortable) fusion ktips. My client was in love with her results.. & seeing those smiles is worth it all 🥰

I’ve been slacking on posting 😅
Here’s some fun from the last couple weeks!
Two of these ladies are regulars & I forgot to get before pictures so their afters are from our last appointment are now our befores 🤣

The manakin head was a group project and we had 4 people coloring her hair at the same time😅 was it overstimulating? Yes. Did we kill it? Yes. Do I want to do it again? I’m good🤣🤣
I did the left half of the back of the head🥰

It’s been 9 months in cosmetology school, I’m a little over half way now and the difference in my ability to understand hair & formulating hair color with Redken, in product knowledge, understanding how to get from point A to point B, etc is tremendously more than day 1. I’m really starting to feel confident & like I know what I’m doing, I’m even getting faster 😅 and I have quite a free regulars at this point too and not to toot my own horn but I really feel like I’m doing well and I’m going to kill it and I’m proud of myself. 🫶🏻

I have appointments available tomorrow Tuesday 4/30 from 12-5 for a color & cut or Friday 5/3 from 9-230 for a color and cut!! Book with me!

Sometimes life gets hard.. for some of us life gets so dark that even putting a brush thru your hair seems impossible. You lose pieces of yourself when it all seeps it, you stop caring about how you look or when the last time you showered was.

It’s so dark, you forget that light exists.

Well this beautiful soul, used all her strength & crawled out of a deep hole recently.. & her hair needed some extra love. A year ago she only had bad matting in the back & she impulsively just cut it off (so that’s why the middle is shorter! We didn’t have to cut anything except for the trim at the end)

This time around she was so close to having a “Brittany” moment, saying “f%!$ it” & shaving it all off. But she called us first and I’m so so happy she did!! We got all the matting out, I did a deep conditioner and Mads did a trim & her hair feels so soft and brand new ❤️

Me & Maddison Stout were the dream team today, I was so happy to work with her on this client. She is someone who understands how hard life can be, who can hold so much space for people without judgement & who gives off the type of energy you know you can be comfortable in. Blessed to be your friend Mads 🫶🏻
