❗️On March 5th this year in Wagoner County Oklahoma, there will be 8 tax Propositions on the ballot. These Propositions are written to remove almost all budgetary responsibility, and accountability from the County Commissioners.
The propositions will automate a good portion of County Commissioners job. There will not be enough money going to any one project to complete it successfully, when those projects fail they will be able to truthfully tell the taxpayers they are not responsible; they will look us in the eye and say “it’s not my fault, you voted for it”. They want to take 1/2 of the rural fire departments’ equipment budget, raise sales tax, and codify those taxes permanently being split into tiny pieces with nothing but added permanent bureaucracy to gain. These new budgets that will all be spent on administrative salaries with nothing left to trickle down to benefit the citizens of Wagoner County. Please vote no on all 8 Propositions, and save our rural fire departments.
