This year wasn’t about what I achieved.
It was about what I survived.

The money fear.
The grief.
The identity shedding.
The systems that stopped working.
The relationships I had to release.
The parts of myself I finally stayed with instead of abandoning.

Achievement posts are beautiful.
But survival deserves witnessing too.

If you survived this year, even quietly,
I hope you can see the small,
sacred wins inside that survival.
Getting out of bed.
Saying no without explaining.
Letting yourself cry instead of staying angry.
Choosing depth over familiarity.

You can have all the things and still feel the same.
Going deeper is what changes you.

Survival is an achievement.
Even if no one claps.

The longest nights aren’t something to rush through.

Which is why so many of us feel tired and unmotivated during the busiest time of the year.

The long nights ask us to slow down.
To listen.
To notice what our bodies have been carrying all year long.

As we close out 2025 and move through Yule week, I’ve been honoring stillness in simple, embodied ways like

warm nourishment
quiet rituals
less output
more presence.

In other words, you won’t find me at bars or many parties this time of year.
I’ll be home, sitting my t**h in front of the fire, talking with my ancestors.

Here’s the thing, what I’m learning more deeply through the holistic side of the hair and wellness world is this:

our scalp holds more than hair.
Our body holds more than memory.
And when we support the gut, the lungs, and the nervous system, the scalp and hair respond too.

This is a time for solitude + clearing.
Not forcing.
Not fixing.
Not running around like Louise or Tina Belcher.
Just making space for what wants to move forward with us into 2026.

If you’re feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, pause.
Even 30 seconds of a slow breath—
in through the nose, out through the mouth
is enough to signal safety to your body and acknowledge where you’re at.
You are doing the best you can in a society that benefits from us short-circuiting.

The Year of the Snake asks us to go inward before we move ahead.

And when you’re ready, I’m here to help you release what no longer belongs, so you can step into the new year grounded, aligned, and inspired.
