I want fewer sharp corners waiting for those little hands, softer rooms to grow into, and a world where love never feels like something that has to be carefully earned or nervously held together with tight fists. Out of 16 clients booked on this most recent trip, three were complete no-shows. No call. No message. No explanation. Just silence.

In five years of running my business, this has never happened. Sure, I’ve dealt with the occasional last-minute cancellation — that’s part of life. But what I experienced this time was a whole new level of disrespect.

Let me be clear: I drive 8 hours, leaving behind my two-year-old, my school work, and my husband to accommodate these appointments. I plan every detail of these trips so I can show up for the people who have supported me over the years — my loyal clients who value my work and my time.

But this trip made one thing painfully clear: something has to change.

This isn’t just a side hustle. This is my business. My livelihood. My time, energy, and resources — and I refuse to continue going out of my way for people who can’t even send a simple message saying they won’t make it.
