🌟 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: SKYLER 🌟
Sometimes the biggest victories happen long before game day. 🏈💪
In January 2025, Skyler suffered a devastating tibia and fibula fracture that required surgery and months of rehabilitation. For many young athletes, an injury like this could have ended their confidence. Instead, it became the beginning of a new chapter.
For months, swimming was the only sport Skyler could participate in. Even while wearing a walking boot, he continued showing up to the pool, determined to stay active and keep moving forward.
Now, just over a year later, Skyler is taking on a challenge that few people expected, **playing football for the very first time as a freshman at Crestview High School.**
He's never played organized football before.
Learning a brand-new sport at the high school level is difficult enough. Doing it after recovering from a major leg injury takes incredible determination, courage, and commitment.
Since returning to Pro Vita Physical Therapy, our focus has gone beyond simply eliminating pain. We've worked to restore his mobility, improve his strength, correct movement patterns, and build the confidence and foundation needed to safely compete on the football field.
His hard work is paying off.
🏈 **75% overall improvement**
🏈 Pain reduced to just **0–3/10**
🏈 Improved strength, movement quality, and confidence as he prepares for his first football season.
What impresses us most isn't just the progress, it's Skyler's mindset.
He shows up ready to learn. He asks questions. He puts in the work. Whether he's in the therapy clinic, the weight room, the pool, or on the football field, he understands that success isn't built overnight, it's earned one day at a time.
A year ago, Skyler was focused on learning to walk and move normally again.
Today, he's learning how to protect a quarterback, compete as an offensive lineman, and chase a dream he never imagined possible.
Skyler, we're incredibly proud of everything you've accomplished. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. We can't wait to watch you continue to grow this season and beyond.
Keep working hard. Stay coachable. Believe in yourself. The best is still ahead. 💙🏈
