Specialty Aero

This week we finished up a 4 year build of a custom Homestead style S1T. Similar to the S1T that we build 7 years ago N22PU. This plane uses a similar fuselage layout to the Curtis Pitts designed and build S1T's that he built in 1976 with angle valve 200 lycomings and constant speed propellers. These are different than what was produced in the factory and have some neat advantages over them.

I am saddened to hear of the loss of Olivier Masurel Aerobatics. A little less than a year ago I was privileged to spend a week with him. The world felt a little smaller when this world class aerobatic pilot flew half way around the world to spend some time with me in Creswell tuning Jim's MXS. While I didn't know him that well it was a really fun week getting to know such a talented and kind person. I wish I could have spent more time with him. It always happens to the good ones. This time of year every year our community seems to loose a few people, and each time it chips away at the reward side of the risk reward equation that is aviation. Blue Skies Olivier...
