Is your natural hair frustrating you ?
Natural hair is a beautiful thing but caring for it can get super frustrating. Besides, I’m noticing that most clients I see don’t know what the proper hair care regiment should be for their own hair. But no worries, because if you click the link in the bio 👆🏽 and book an appointment I can sort everything out for you 😉
The number one complaint I get from new clients is that their hair is super dry. Dryness is definitely a big issue because of the nature of our hair. The natural oils that our scalp produce don’t slide down our hair shaft as easily as they do for people who have straighter hair. So some of that oil is just sitting on the scalp, which can (and usually do) lead up to buildup and flakiness on the scalp. Then, there are some people who just don’t produce enough scalp oil (sebum) which them leads to a dry scalp.
Either way, the resolve is about knowing and understanding what methods and products your hair needs specifically and implementing the right regiment to get that protein moisture balance we all need for our hair to thrive 🌱

1) Education is key when deciding to transition your relaxed hair. Naturally, your hair will become fragile, dry, brittle and possibly start breaking during this process. Hey, hey now, cheer up! The new hair growing in will be healthy, vibrant and full of life. So, knowing how to properly care for, manage and style your hair at this time is very critical to ensure that you don’t cause more damage than what will already occur naturally with this process. ⠀
⠀
2) Having the correct tools and products will literally make or break your transitioning journey. Simply put, using the correct tools and products will determine how little or how much damage your hair will assume while transitioning. ⠀
⠀
3) Ladies! Seriously, I know we all love a good ole length check but while on this journey, it is NOT the time to try and hold on to damaged old relaxed hair to retain length. Truth is, not trimming damaged hair will cause the damage to go up the hair strand like a tear in a panty hose, causing your healthy new hair to become damaged as well. Yikes!!! So for now, let’s focus on growing all of that relaxer off and getting a healthy head of hair. ⠀
⠀
4) Yes, you read it right! There are so many amazing benefits to getting a smoothing treatment on your transitioning hair. However, my favorite benefit is how helpful it is in growing your hair out faster. Depositing the proteins and amino acids (a non-chemical treatment) directly into the hair shaft preventing and repairing damaged hair, while aiding in optimal growth. Click the link in my bio and go to the FAQS page to learn more about the full benefits that the smoothing treatment offers to your transitioning hair! ⠀

One thing I’m big on is assessing the scalp first and foremost before moving forward with ANY service! Reason being is because I simply can’t move forward with any other service without having a clean scalp! Most of my clients know that they have flakes or dandruff. However, they don’t know to what degree. If the scalp isn’t properly treated with effective products and procedures then,in my mind you’re hustling backwards because you don’t have a clean balanced scalp to support that beautiful style you’re getting. On top of the fact not clearing and cleaning the hair follicles can lead to having an inflamed, sore scalp or even worse hair loss.
Her hair is literally the epitome of healthy hair. While yes, everyone’s healthy hair journey looks different. Her journey just happens to consist of one salon visit each month 📆 Her at home regiment is simply wrapping her hair in a silk scarf until she comes to her next appointment. This keeps her hair in optimal condition and honestly flawless .... I have not one complaint about her hair on a scale from 1 to 10 her hair is definitely a 10! ⠀
⠀
⠀
During her monthly appointment she gets several treatments:⠀
🌱Scalp Detox & Exfoliation ⠀
Remove severe buildup before shampooing ⠀
🌱Clarifying Shampoo⠀
Throughly cleanses the hair before applying other shampoos ⠀
🌱 Vitamin Rich Shampoo⠀
Gives the hair proper vitamins and nutrients ⠀
🌱 Protein Mask/Moisture Mask ⠀
I rotate conditioning treatments every visit⠀
🌱 Trim ⠀
Bi-monthly ⠀

I absolutely LOVE It when my clients care about their hair because I PROMISE that I care and sometimes maybe too much 🤣 But seriously, once you have the proper instruction and a plan then, all you have to do is execute 🎯 Pin curling your hair every night will not only keep your hair protected but also it will preserve your style and giving your hair all the body in the 🌎 Yes, this requires a little learning for some. However, once you master the art of pin curling, no one is going to be able to yell you anything 👏🏾 your hair is always be flawless until the next shampoo 😘
