I have been straightening hair for over 29 years (yikes). As well as trading many stylists on the process of straightening hair. I was originally trained on the Paul Brown texture perm that used a perm solution mixed with an oatmeal base and was then applied on plastic boards that you would smooth onto the surface of the boards. Then the client processed until the hair was 75% dry. I started treating a long time client of mine, Melissa at 9 years of age, who is to this day not only a loyal client but a dear friend. I still have memories of her adorable face peaking out of these long, heavy boards while trying to work on homework but too busy people watching n the salon. A trait she still has to this day 😉
There are option out there to the frequently used Keratin Treatments. I love the Agave Smoothing treatment for its mild yet pleasant odor, that other treatments have a bit too much of. I get great results with extremely resistant hair, or hair with a strong curl pattern, and it’s great for removing unwanted frizz. It will produce what I like to refer to as ‘skinny hair’ that so many clients want to achieve. This is also one of the few treatments that you can do a color service on the same day.

FEBRUARY 1st we open 😉

New year, new exciting news!
February 1st we will leave our home of the last 2 years. It’s been a soft place for us to land since 2020 was such a rough start for us with having to relocated so fast. American Image has been nothing but gracious, welcoming & helpful to us, and we have made some great relationships which I’m sure we will continue with❣️
We will be moving back to our old location @ Olive & New Ballas. New owners, new name-Mallia, new look, new inside & out & we are very excited to grow our business and service all our clients that have been so loyal to us! I will repost here as well as personally notify you but the opening date will be Feb 1, 2022
Can’t wait to build new memories with you all.
