Let’s talk about filters 🤔🤔🤔
As an artist I love making my pictures into a fun work of art for my own joy however these filters can mislead clients into thinking that the color they are seeing is a real expectation . This is a perfect example of how filters can change the reality of a picture so much . I think the day and age we live in we are confusing reality and filters so much that when we see a “real” untouched photo we begin to pick it apart and forget the talent and hard work that goes into real results . The fact is while filters are fun and playful they are also complete fantasy .... keep this in mind the next time you second guess your beautiful work or your unique beautiful self !!! Your sense of worth is far greater then a picture perfect photo 💗

I don’t know if it was the sun shining in the shop today or the vibe this girl always has when I see her, but magic happened while painting her blonde this morning for her crazy amazing trip to study abroad in Italy!

She is a true inspiration ..... and I love seeing her journey unfold!

Lightening this dark of a natural base color takes time ..... lots of time and knowledge . It’s with years of learning and understanding on how to execute these types of textures and levels that I was able to accomplish her goal of being light with no weird orange tone . Each section I did was paper thin for maximum opportunity to lift evenly and even product saturation. We gave her the ever so slight micro shadow to defuse her base into the brightness and glossed all over to even out her previous tones that warmed up over time .

Being this far from your natural comes with a strict at home maintenance of professional haircare to add proteins back into her hair and moisture to correct her integrity between services .

Oh and it totally helps that she’s absolutely stunning to begin with 💗

I don’t think I’ve ever done the same color on my guest more then two times lol!!!! She is so much fun to have in my chair and lets me try anything I want each time and always trusts what I do !!! I’ve been really into these plum violet tones I’m seeing a lot of . I decided to melt in 3 different tones of violet and some added reflecting red tones in specific placement to give the violet some life !

I used wells magma lightner with violet red built in as my balayage tool
Tapped a melty root with redken 4rr/4rv
Added some depth with Pravana violet
Finished with a gloss of a mixture I cocktailed to specialize the violet hues !
