People ask me often, “Why did you choose the name Bodhi?”

While the meaning of Bodhi perfectly aligns with what I wanted this space to represent, the name also has roots that go back nearly seven years.

At the time I was in a very different place in life than I am now. I was a single mom to a three-year-old and, at the same time, grieving the loss of my then-boyfriend in a car accident.

I felt lost and was trying to find any little ray of sunshine I could hold onto.

One weekend, I decided I needed a change of scenery and went to St. Pete to recharge. While I was there, I stumbled into an apothecary-type shop called Bodhi Basics.

It was filled with essential oils, beautiful stones, books, soaps and handmade incense. There was something about that little store that stayed with me.

For the first time in a long time, I could picture a future version of myself that wasn’t consumed by grief or fear. I felt inspired again—thinking about a new career, new possibilities and what life could look like beyond that season.

Looking back, that experience became the catalyst for so much more than I imagined.

As cliché as it sounds, a few crystals and essential oils reminded me that there was still so much beauty in life. And over time, I learned just how much capacity we have to hurt, heal and begin again.

Years later, when I was choosing a name for my facial suite, I kept coming back to Bodhi.

I never wanted to recreate that store. I wanted to honor what the name represented to me—the feeling I walked away with that day and what it came to represent in my life.

I still have some of the treasures I found in that little store sitting on the shelves at Bodhi today.

Sometimes I’ll catch a glimpse of them and think about that version of Lindsey who walked into that store all those years ago—lost, grieving and just looking for something that made life feel a little lighter.

Maybe that’s what makes Bodhi so special to me. It isn’t just the name of my business. It’s a reminder of how much life can change, how much we can change, and how the smallest moments can shape our lives.

And now, every day when I walk into Bodhi, I get to see just how far that beginning took me. 🤍

We’re SO close. 💜

Wednesday is the final day of my fundraiser for CASA, and we are only $250 away from our $1,800 goal!!

CASA provides local support, resources, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence as they work toward safety, healing, and a fresh start.

I’ve been so grateful watching this community show up—$5 at a time, raffle tickets, facials, donations… it all added up to something pretty incredible.

If you’ve been meaning to donate or grab a raffle ticket, today is the day. Every little bit gets us closer. 🤍

$250 to go. Let’s get there together.

Raffle tickets can be purchased through a Venmo payment. $5 per ticket. https://venmo.com/u/Lindsey-Smith-1130

Glow Up for CASA 💜
What would do?

This September, I’m hoping we can turn a little self-care into something that makes a real difference in our community.

CASA (Citrus Abuse Shelter Association) provides support, resources and safe shelter for survivors of domestic violence right here in Citrus County. Organizations like CASA depend on community support to continue providing these critical services—and knowing these resources are available when someone needs them most is incredibly important.

My goal is to raise $1,800 for CASA by September 26th and I’d love your help getting there! 🙏🏆

There are three ways to help 💜

✨ Purchase a $105 Glow Up Facial

I’m so grateful to have a business that gives me opportunities to give back to the community that has supported me—and I would LOVE to see what we can do together. 💜

Let’s glow up for a good cause.

I never planned to post this photo.

Not because I don’t love it—I do. But because the first thing I noticed was the smile lines on my face.

And the irony isn’t lost on me.

After years of looking closely at women’s skin, one thing I’ve learned is just how incredibly hard we are on ourselves.

I see it all the time. A beautiful woman sits in front of me and within minutes she’s pointing out the lines, pores, pigmentation or imperfections she wishes she could change.

And it doesn’t seem to matter how old she is or how great her skin actually looks. We compare. We zoom in. We notice what has changed. We’re often much quicker to see what we don’t like than what we do.

I understand it. I work in an industry built around helping people look and feel their best, and I genuinely believe there is nothing wrong with wanting that. There’s nothing wrong with treating a wrinkle, improving your skin or wanting to age well.

I just wish we could do it with a little more appreciation for ourselves along the way.

Wrinkles mean we’ve had years to laugh, smile, worry and live. Skin changes because we change. And maybe not every sign of that needs to feel like something we’ve done wrong. After all, we are human, and pores and wrinkles are part of that reality.

So, take a moment to appreciate all the things that make you uniquely you. Compare yourself a little less, and give yourself a little more grace. Wanting to look your best and appreciating yourself exactly where you are can coexist. And I really hope the pressure to look “perfect” starts to lose its importance.

Be kind to yourself 💕
Xoxo, Lindsey.

If I was serious about seeing changes in my skin, these are the ingredients I would be looking for ↓

Lactic Acid — gently exfoliates while supporting hydration for smoother, brighter skin.

Mandelic Acid — helps target acne, congestion, texture + post-breakout pigmentation.

Azelaic Acid — a multitasker for redness, acne + uneven pigmentation.

Tranexamic Acid — targets stubborn discoloration, dark spots + uneven skin tone.

Peptides — support collagen, firmness + healthier-looking skin.

Barrier-supporting lipids + humectants — replenish moisture, support the skin barrier + keep skin hydrated and resilient.

You don’t need a long line of products on your counter, but you do need the right ingredients that promote renewal.

P.S. You can find all of these ingredients in the products I displayed in this video!

Almandola Cleanser • Serum 71 • Aquaporin Hydrating Cream

ProCell: needling, elevated by growth factor technology.

Microchanneling creates the pathways, but ProCell’s growth factor serum is what sets this treatment apart. Rich in human growth factors, cytokines, and proteins, it helps support your skin’s natural repair process while optimizing collagen production and overall skin rejuvenation.

Benefits include:
✨ Improved skin texture and tone
✨ Softer fine lines and wrinkles
✨ Reduced appearance of acne scars
✨ Firmer, healthier-looking skin
✨ Enhanced collagen and elastin production

Recommended treatment plan:
For best results, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart allows collagen remodeling to build over time, creating healthier, stronger skin from within, can be combined and staggered with other skin regeneration treatments to maximize results quickly.

stimulating collagen is important—but supporting the skin’s ability to regenerate is what takes the Procell results to the next level. 🏆
