There are huge protests happening in Iran right now, led by women. These protests were started after a Kurdish woman was beaten and later died while in police custody. She was arrested by the Iranian Morality Police, supposedly because she wasn’t wearing her hijab “correctly”.

There are many issues that happen in our world that I don’t comment on, but this is particularly important to me. I grew up in a religion that is based in Persia and there were many people who I grew up with from Persia. Some of them still have family members in Iranian prisons. They’ve been incarcerated and tortured just for being Baha’i. This is another example of minorities being horribly mistreated by the Iranian leadership.
