This balayage service is PERFECT for your teenaged daughter that wants to embrace her “coming of age” independence but still needs her parent (or grandparent) to still pay for her hair. 😘

I have 2 teenaged daughters of my own and I treat their hair as if they have to make “real” appointments. So that means they get their hair done either at “back-to-school”, birthday or Christmas. And they get to pick colors/styles that last long enough to keep them happy throughout that duration.

My suggestion? Keep the maintenance minimal. Shoot for neutral to warm colors, techniques that grow out easily, nothing with hard lines and keep expectations clear.

My holiday books are open if you or your teen want to get in before my college kids jump on my schedule. 😘

It’s always so funny to me when my clients walk in for their typical 8-12 week color retouch and then they hard it need a retouch! I’m always like “girl! I could use your money but I’m not gonna use you FOR your money.” And more times than not we may skip the color, or just do a toner and treatment to freshen up.

Doing hair has always been about so much more than the hair for me. It’s the connection. ❤️

I get to witness the sparkle of pride (and sometimes the little bit of dread) in a mother’s eyes when we’re doing her baby’s very first haircut. And then, years later, I might be there for that same child’s last haircut before they head off to college.

Being trusted with these little moments that are actually huge family milestones is something I never take for granted.

And then there’s that moment afterward…the excitement, the confidence, the feeling of freedom when they look in the mirror and LOVE what they see. Regardless of their age, that feeling never gets old.

Some things are timeless. And my passion for sharing these moments with my clients is one of them. ✨

*switching things up*

I got the privilege of doing one of my sweetest friends hair and makeup for her very first body building competition this weekend. AND our girl got 3rd!!
It’s been a honor to watch her accept every challenge and show up for herself throughout the years. When she asked me to do her make up and hair (first at 5am and then at 4am 😅) I couldn’t say no!

Painting her face to match her spray tan was an experience that had us giggling through the sleep deprivation. And notes were taken on how to do even better next times
