I first wanted to thank you all for an amazing 2021. I know it has been a difficult year, but I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

I hope you all have enjoyed the first week of January!

SKINTOLOGY has new updates & policies that all clients should review. If you have any questions or concerns please reply to this email.

New | Updated Policies

Cancellation Policy:
A 24-hour notice will be needed in order to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If notified less than 24-hours the full amount of the services will be charged to the card on file.

Price Increase:
Due to demand and inflation, most services will have a price increase of $2-$5 effective immediately. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Arrival for Appointment:
Please, arrive 5 mins before your appointment time. This will ensure that you will receive the full amount of time for the services you have booked. Due to high demand, if you arrive 10 minutes late from your original appointment time, we will have to cancel or reschedule. Rescheduling an appointment due to tardiness more then once, will result in a charge of the full amount of the services booked.

COVID / Flu / Sickness:
If you have come in contact with someone that has COVID, the Flu or any sickness OR if you are not feeling 100%, please reschedule your appointment for at least 10 days out.

Inclement Weather:
We are in the season of snow & ice. If we have experienced bad weather, and you feel unsafe to come to your appointment, please reach out as soon as possible. I will also do the same.

Credit Card on File:
All clients will now be required to have a valid credit card on file in order to book.

Eyelash Extensions:
I will no longer offer eyelash extension services to NEW clients. If you currently have on extensions, I will continue to service you.

Happy National Esthetician Day!🎉

2013 I embarked on a journey that I am so grateful for. I started esthetics school in Vienna, VA and loved every minute of it.

After graduating in 2014 I have worked many jobs in the esthetics industry. Learning, striving, finding out what works, what doesn’t. All this experience was for the greater good.

Fast forward to 2021, I currently own a business and love all the ends and outs of it. I’ve taken risks, I’ve failed, I’ve been through a pandemic, I opened my business and had to move shortly after, I’ve networked, I’ve seen countless amazing skin transformations. I’ve done all the things.

Esthetics has brought me confidence. It’s brought me joy. It’s brought me peace. It was truly the best career decision I’ve ever said yes to.

If you’re reading this, I hope you’ve found the same joy that I have. I love and adore all of my clients. I am beyond grateful to have found you all & this amazing career. 💜

What you need to know about lash lifts & tinting.

⭐️What is a lash lift? This uses your own natural lashes to create an instant lift. Your lashes are lifted against a silicone rod to give it a natural looking curl. This is perfect for those who have straight or downward-facing lashes. Results can last 4+weeks (most clients get 6-8weeks out of the lift!).

After the first 24hrs of not getting them wet, they are very low maintenance. You can swim, use mascara (but you won’t need too) or leave them au natural!

⭐️What is tinting? Tinting visibly darkens, lengthens and thickens the appearance of lashes or brows. After you are tinted, you are good to go! Results last 4 weeks

🔆Waxing 101🔆

Below are a few tips & tricks for waxing.

1. Make sure your hair is the right length. 1/4 of an inch or the length of a grain of rice is ideal for removing all hairs. Too short & it yanks on the hair without full removal. Too long & the hair can break mid shaft. For most, 2 weeks of growth is perfect for waxing. 🙌
2. Exfoliate. It’s important that throughout the process of getting waxed, you should be exfoliating. I recommend exfoliating everyday. This prevents ingrown hairs ✅ You can use a body scrubber (like the one pictured above) or you can use a mild body scrub. Make sure if you are using a body scrub, it has non-comedogenic oil in it.
3. Prevent. Exfoliation is a part of prevention, but we also need to talk ingrown hard cream. If you are prone to ingrowns, exfoliation with the help of a great antiseptic cream can help keep you ingrown free. I recommend using Finipil after every time you exfoliate. A little goes a long way!
4. Get on a regular schedule. In the spring / summer, a regular waxing schedule would consist of every 3-4 weeks. In the fall/ winter you can push it out to every 4-6weeks. When you get on a regular waxing schedule, your hair will start to all come in at the same time & it’s allows for you to have longer lasting results.
