I’m so extremely proud of these girls! Chloe will be offering hair services at Le Luxe Spa and what an amazing way to introduce her!
Chloe competed in SkillsUSA which is a world wide organization to help students showcase their skills to the world. Chloe and 2 other girls teamed up and chose the category “human services” for their competition. They had to come up with something that would help our community through our cosmetology skills. They chose to give free hair services to children in our tri-county community. They offered services such as haircuts, tinsel, chalk, braiding, updos, and hairwashes. Each child selected a service that made them feel confident. They gave each child a coloring sheet with positive affirmations on it and a goody bag with personal hygiene products and fun accessories! We continued this for 6 consecutive weeks in 3 different locations; multiple times a week! Overall they serviced 256 children. They turned this into our “human services” project by displaying all the things they did to help put smiles on the children’s faces. In Atlanta we competed with other students all over the world. They brought home GOLD and won first place in the nation! We developed career ready skills and experienced wonderful opportunities!
