This was originally started back in 2012 when Eric was diagnosed with CHF (congestive heart failure). While this turned our lives upside down, we did not let it phase us. We have been working on turning our unhealthy lives into healthy lives. Please join us on this journey by giving us ideas, questions, suggestions, and helping build a community for people to feel comfortable, loved, and supported in becoming and staying healthy.

In the words of White Snake "I don't know where I'm going, but I sure know where I've been." This friendly reminder popped up on my Facebook and while this was a joyous time in life because of my dad and step mom getting married it was a very hard time in my life because of my size. I've always struggled with my weight, I constantly go up, down, and plateau . I chose pizza over a salad, pop over water, and ice cream almost every night. Those decisions in life got me to a size 24... those choices did nothing for me but make me feel sluggish, overweight, out of breath and limited to the clothes I could wear. I am not perfect, I still want to choose the pizza over the salad and pop over water, and don't even get me started on ice cream. However, making the decision to cut out and or portion control items like that have helped me get down to the size 16 I am now. My journey is no where near complete. While sometimes I wish I could snap my finger and be at the size 10/12 I am aiming for I cannot, nor should I want to. It is important to remember where I was and how I am getting to where I want to be. My point being, this will be an ongoing goal and lifestyle change for the rest of my life and it is good to have reminders of where I was and how far I've come. Keep going on your journey. Keep reminding yourself why you want to do it. Lastly, keep it healthy! Peace love and happiness on this Thursday!

It's Saturday morning, and like most- my PIC and I Zoombid while Eric did yoga and treadmill! Had some protein shakes for a late breakfast/ lunch and now it's time to snuggle with some furry babies :) What are you doing to be active today???

So, at work I am known as the candy girl. I have a bowl full of candy on my desk and am always filling it for people to enjoy. I do not mind this because I know it makes others happy. Today, I am enjoying my healthy lunch which is to my right. I then notice my candy is on the opposite side of my desk to the left. I then realize- it is the scale of temptation! Thankfully I am reminding myself I do not want the candy and if I do, I have healthy stuff instead! What is something you do to avoid temptation?!

While the number on the scale my seem important, they are not. While you feel "embarrassed" to wear your size, you shouldn't be. You are the only person who can see those numbers and you are the only person who can flaunt what you've got! So no matter the number on your clothes or the scale, wear it with confidence. The rest will fall into place. If you do not like those numbers, then change it, but do it with confidence! Do it for your health. Do it for the "holy s**t, you look amazing". Most importantly, do it for you. Peace, love, and true happiness on this Tuesday!

Had an awesome realization today. Our company asked everyone to wear Tribe gear today to support the team. I put on my shirt I bought last year that used to be kind of tight on me. It is now a dress :) It does not cling to my body anymore it lays long. Thankfully I had another one to put on that wasn't as baggy. Anything good happen to you this week?!
