Rather than try to smooth her hair out and convince it to be something other than what it is, we enhanced her natural curls and pinned them up in a way that is conducive to dancing and partying all night long- with no worries about frizz!!

Grey Blending...

Pam had been coloring her hair a light, golden blonde for many, many years to hide the white, but have a softer, warmer color. The grow out wasn't awful because she stayed so light.

However, in 2021, she decided to go cold turkey on coloring and let all that blonde grow out. Fast forward a few years, and she did a BIG chop. We cut all that blonde off. Now fast forward a few more months and she decided that while she didn't mind the white, she felt a little too light and wanted to darken things in, but make it natural and have it fit with her skin tone.

We added a lot of tiny little steel brown colored lowlights to mimic the small amount of "pepper" she had mixed into her "salt" with a Demi-permanent color.

This color will fade slowly over time and leave her looking super natural, with no harsh lines of grow out. She gets it done every 4-5 months.

We blended the white, while keeping her maintenance minimal, and letting her GORGEOUS white shine through and be the star.

Grey CAN be gorgeous! Don't let anyone tell you different. Drop a 😍 if you hope for this kind of white/grey when your time comes!!

We talk about grey blending a lot around here. One of the simplest ways to start exploring an easier grow-out is to add some highlights in to break up a solid base color so that grow out line isn't quite so obvious.

Even if you're not ready to fully embrace the grey, we can help you decide if you want to dip your toe in the water- we can add some highlights, change what we're using for your base color to allow for a more dimensional cover), or sometimes just tone your existing color to something very ashy that almost looks grey/silver so you can "try it on" temporarily (til the toner fades).

Grey hair is nothing to be ashamed of and shouldn't hold you captive either! If you're considering growing it out, or have questions about how to manage what you have already grown out, we're here to help!
