Rain or shine, the salon was booked and busy! 🍊

The small moments when I get to soak in what this salon means to me are life-changing. We all know I work too much and it’s hard enough keeping up with the day-to-day ins and outs of taking clients and running a salon. But today there was a moment when I felt so blessed. Maybe it’s because it was my birthday and my stylists, family and clients spoiled me. Or maybe it was the fact it was a special day because Brynlie took clients behind the chair officially. My clients know she has been here since she was so young and has assisted me the longest. Peanut graduating to a stylist is definitely bittersweet but I couldn’t be prouder. Or maybe that we are wrapping up another prom season, and those milestones are always special. Either way, taking a minute looking at what an incredible team Nicolette and I have built truly is everything that we have ever dreamed of.

Today I watched my girls come together like they do every day to help each other, lift each other up, share techniques, support each other behind the chair and personally, conquer fears, and mostly laugh, have fun and do beautiful hair! It’s so much more than hair though and I have always said that. The salon is a sacred place for therapy sessions, sharing deep secrets, finding confidence and self worth through beauty, celebrating life’s highs and being there for your lows, and yes of course… incredible hair.

Looking back on my 15 years+ behind the chair... I remember every salon, every step, every journey that brought me to where I am today. Every business I worked at, all my mentors along the way, I now see more than ever the endless hard work that went on behind the scenes. To my fellow stylists and business owners in the beauty industry; Cheers! This business can be brutal but at the end of the day, it truly is so rewarding. God made it all happen and laid everything out for this salon to fall together so beautifully. I truly believe we are meant to be here to support young stylists as they chase their career dreams and to serve our community above and beyond normal standards.

You are not only supporting Nicolette and my own dream, but so many amazing, talented team members that create the Hart Studios family. We could not do it without you and I truly love each and every one of you that makes this dream come true. If I haven’t met you yet, I would love to.
