What do we call this sickness? 😂
The second life starts feeling even slightly manageable, I apparently need to create more work for myself.

Seven years into Bella Hue and somehow I decided this was the perfect time to start another business. Soooo… here we are. 😅

I’ve been quietly working on The Clean Wag behind the scenes and I’m finally starting to share more of it.

Still very much in the “what have I done” phase, but also really excited about it. 🐾

And please tell me I’m not the only one who immediately fills any extra space on their plate?🤪

Is there an easier way to do this? Absolutely. 😂
Is eyeballing a straight line still one of my hidden talents after 17 years behind the chair? Also absolutely.

And if your label wasn’t straight… I didn’t do it. 😂

I keep coming back to this thought lately …

I’m in a season where I’ve been dealing with some physical pain, and as frustrating as that can be, it also has a funny way of putting things back into perspective.

We’re all just doing our best. Making swaps where we can, trying to eat better, move our bodies, choose cleaner products, slow down when we need to… none of us are going to do it perfectly.

But keep investing in yourself. In your health. In your body. And sometimes that investment might just look like giving yourself some much needed “me time” and actually listening when your body is telling you it needs a break.

Because everything feels important… until your health takes a turn. 🤍

It really did make me stop and think for a second.

Bella Hue has grown SO much since I started 7 years ago. We buy ingredients in much bigger quantities now, I’ve hired more help, we have better equipment, and products move off our shelves every day.

But one thing that really hasn’t changed much is how small our batches are.

Could I make enough of something to sit on the shelf for the next 6 months? Absolutely. Would it save on labor, cleaning, time and probably cost? Yep.

But then I started thinking about what we’d lose by doing that.

I like making what we actually need. I like knowing our products haven’t been sitting around for months before they get to you. I like being able to catch the little things, make adjustments, and change something when I know I can make it better.

And maybe most importantly, I still really like being the one back here making it. 🤍

So yes… it’s more work. And some people would probably think we’re crazy for still doing it this way. 😂

But I think small batch is one of those things I’m just not ready to grow out of.

It’s a labor of love, for sure. 🫶
