The Selva Family

During the weeks when we aren’t homeschooling or off on an adventure, we love teaching our children about their family history. ❤️

They come from a rich heritage—Sri Lanka through their daddy, and Ireland, France, Mexico, Britain and Germany through me. Learning where they come from helps them better understand who they are and the values that have shaped our family.

I believe it’s important for children to know their roots so they can thoughtfully carve out their own paths and create a meaningful legacy of their own here in Texas. 🥰

Most importantly, I want them to remember that no matter where we come from, what country we were born in, or what our family history may be, we are all children of God. That shared identity is greater than any nationality, culture, or ancestry, and it connects us all as one family. ❤️

✨Sunday with the Selvas✨

Jesus Christ is like a breath of fresh air and we look forward to Sundays when we can gather with families in our community to worship Him and God the Father. We wake up before the sun, pray, study, and then kiss all of our babies awake just in time for church at 9:)

Then we take a Sunday drive around and around for hours if we can (or until the kids beg to go home 😂). We talk, counsel, laugh, listen, and sometimes cry.

When we get back home, we cook, cuddle, learn, laugh, pray, and encourage. We know the week ahead won’t be as loving and we prepare each other to meet it.

Sundays feel heavenly. We have so much peace, hope, and joy for the future. Thank you Jesus❤️
