Hey everyone, my name is Jennifer and I wanted to share my why.

I initially joined FBLA to sharpen my leadership skills. I never imagined it would lead me to where I am now with the organization. At first, my main goal was simply to show my family that it is never too late to go back to school and invest in yourself. Getting involved on campus wasn’t even part of the plan until I joined FBLA.

Through FBLA, I found confidence I didn’t know I had, built meaningful connections, and discovered a passion for leadership and service. It pushed me outside my comfort zone, challenged me to grow, and helped me believe in my own abilities. What started as a small step toward self-improvement turned into an experience that shaped my college journey and reminded me that saying “yes” to opportunities can open doors you never expected.

I had the opportunity to meet a truly inspiring woman at my conference this weekend, and her workshop was fantastic. As a former Chiefs cheerleader, she offered great advice for Taraji related to cheerleading.
