There’s a difference between needing a vacation and needing a self-care day. A vacation is an escape. A self-care day is a pause. And right now, your body might be whispering (or screaming) for a pause.

You don’t have to book a trip or wait until burnout forces you to stop. Sometimes all you need is a cozy blanket, a phone on Do Not Disturb, a bath, a journal, or a quiet moment with no expectations.

What’s On The Menu This Week 😋💚

I’ll be honest. The whole “what do you want to eat for dinner?” conversation gets real old, real fast. I never really know what I want or what I have a taste for. Thanks to greenchef, thinking about what I want for dinner is no longer my problem.

Everything shows up ready to go, pre-measured, fresh, and with recipes that are easy to follow. Step-by-step instructions and meals done in under 45 minutes. The best part is I’m not spending an hour in the kitchen or washing a sink full of dishes.

Here’s what’s on the menu this week:

Creamy Corn & Potato Chowder
with carrots, roasted red peppers, and homemade croutons
– I love me a good soup or chowder.

Creamy Truffle & Mushroom Linguine
with peas and Parmesan cheese
– I love switching out chicken for mushrooms.

Crispy Chicken with Honey Drizzle
with Chimichurri Cabbage & Carrot Slaw and Scallion Mashed Potato
– Chimichurri sauce is so tasty!

✨ NEW YEAR NEW PRIORITIES, and im putting gut health at the top of the list! They say health starts from the inside out and I believe that 100%. Over on my blog, I share simple, easy, and real ways to prioritize wellness in a way that feels good for you.

Here’s the tea: your gut health affects everything. From your energy levels and mood to your skin. I recently learned about skin mapping and it seems spot on. Someone used an analogy for gut health and I absolutely love it.

Putting yourself first isn’t selfish—it’s necessary!

Taking the time time to nurture yourself is laying the foundation for a happier and healthier you.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. Start small.

✨Set clear boundaries
✨Say yes to the things that bring you joy,
✨& give yourself grace.

One lesson I learned is when you show up for yourself, you’re better equipped to show up for others. It’s a ripple effect that positively impacts your life and those around you.
