Hello, and welcome to my page. My name is Tiffany LeShore . My mother passed the sickle cell trait to me at birth. My father does not carry this genetically transferred trait. If both my parents had been carriers of the sickle cell trait there is a chance that myself or some of my siblings could have been born with sickle cell anemia, or have sickle cell trait. I was the only child out of 5 that my mom had , who had sickle cell trait. I am a mother of 2 and only one of my sons is a carrier of sickle cell trait.

I started this a page to bring awareness to sickle cell trait. I found from experience that my community doesn’t know enough about it. I myself was ignorant to the things that can occur with sickle cell trait until I be came one of the rare and few patients with sickle cell trait who experienced complications snf nesrly lost my life.
