1 single violent act against a Black American resulting in death can affect anywhere from 5-100+ black Americans not to mention other races

In America there are about 49–50 million people who identify as Black or African American alone or in combination with another race

Based on the official federal data, the peak year across all 50 states was 2021, which recorded a total of approximately 18,500 violent deaths (including homicides, suicides, and legal interventions combined) among individuals identifying as Black or African American

Dividing that record-high annual number across the calendar year breaks down to an average of approximately 51 violent deaths per day nationwide.

Let’s say each of these 51 violent deaths per day affects an average of 100 black people per day. That’s 5100 blacks per day being affected by violence in America

Let’s not forget some of these violent deaths against blacks have not been reported accurately and some have been labeled as “suicides” which may also not be accurately reported

In order to reach the 50 Million blacks reported here in America, it would only take 27 years worth of violence at this rate to have affected that many blacks living in America

5100 a day times 365 days a year= 1,861,500 a year

The “statistics” alone should make you “feel something”

Which is the opposite of “numb”

The United States of America is so violent to the point where if you stay here long enough you will either become violent, a victim of violence, an advocate against violence or a sell out

Bell Mountain twins (Qaadir and Naazir Lewis) — Gwinnett County, Georgia (2025)
* Family claim: Initially, the family questioned the official conclusion about the deaths and publicly expressed doubts.
* Later development: The family later said they accepted the GBI findings after an independent review.
* Why it fits your search: It is an example of a family publicly disputing an official conclusion when they believed something did not add up.

Aunt says family now accepts GBI conclusion in deaths of twin brothers at Bell Mountain determined to be suicides Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, both 19, were found shot to death on Bell Mountain in north Georgia in March 2025 in what law enforcement believed were suicides.

Tamla Horsford — Forsyth County, Georgia (2018)
* Family/community claim: Her death was officially ruled accidental, but family members and supporters publicly questioned whether the investigation fully explained what happened.
* Investigation concerns: Questions were raised about witness accounts, circumstances at the gathering, and whether all possibilities were adequately explored.
* Media level: It gained online attention but had limited long-term investigative reporting compared with larger cases.
