What are your plans this spooky season? Do you like dressing up as someone or something else for a day? I certainly do enjoy a good costume & costume party as well as all things fall. It's fun to be someone else for a day, but always remember who you are & stay true to you. Nobody will ever be just like you & you will never be someone else so embrace your weird & unique or funky, spazzy creative self. This is your journey!

This set turned out so good on this gorgeous gal. She had a lot of long lashes to begin with, but this set made her eyes really pop!

Oops I did it again!

It's that day again. Lash tip Tuesday is here & I forgot last week so it is what it is. Let's get to today's tip!
Let's talk about lash washing...
So you just got your lashes done & you don't want to ruin your investment (because it totally is!) & you're talking to your lash artist about after care when she mentions wash them daily. You think to yourself not a problem, I've got it covered. But then she mentions you can't just wash them with anything. Excuse me? Hold the phone there Charley! With what shall I wash them with then? Isn't all hair the same?
Here's the thing, regular shampoo contains ingredients that don't mix well with the adhesive in your lashes & can actually cause them to fall out faster. Besides, have you ever gotten soap in your eyes? Oh the humanity, it burns! Don't even think of reaching for the baby shampoo either. Yep you guessed it, that's also a NO. The ingredient thing again.
Ok, then how about my facial cleanser? If it removes all the makeup, oils & debris from my face then shouldn't it be sufficient enough to clean my lashes?
That is also a solid no, & the why, you guessed it! Ingredients ingredients ingredients!
So with all that being said, lashes have their own lash shampoo made just for them. It was specifically formulated to keep those winks soft & fluffy & nicely attached without causing harm to your eyes. You can either buy it from your lash artist, who should always carry it, or you can order it. I personally like to know that more natural ingredients are in my cleanser so I always check with the manufacturer.

How are we all feeling today?
I hope everyone had a decent weekend. Were you able to spend it with anyone you enjoy spending time with, or did you spend it lone wolf style but doing something for yourself? Or, none of the above?
In any case it's aways good to treat others how you would like to be treated, no? Actions speak louder than words so if you tell someone one thing but then do something that makes them feel or think otherwise you could be doing more harm than good. Make others feel good about themselves & show them you value them & their time, otherwise you are showing them that you are not worth a minute of theirs & you could lose them permanently. It also says a lot about your character & who you are. Maybe you don't value or respect yourself enough to care about someone else. Choose your words & actions carefully.

From this Lash Artist to All Other Lash Artists, I mean it when I say...
Happy Lash Artist Day! This post was a long time in the works. Honestly it took all day because my computer loves playing games with me when it knows I've got half a million & one other things to get accomplished on my Saturday so why not adda monkey in the wrench alongside it right? Somebody remind me next time I go shopping for a laptop, GET A MAC for crying out loud! Or at least anything but this Microsoft Surface... UGH! This thing has been nothing but an absolute nightmare from day one. Anyhow. I digress... I hope everyone has had a great day, & all my fellow lash artists have given their wrists, fingers, eyeballs & tweezers a bit of a break today. If not, I hope you enjoyed every minute lashing ( I know I would, but I had the day off apparently!) Friends, family, neighbors, please don't forget to Support Your Local Lash Gang!!! Give us some love 🥰 We work hard at what we do!

How romantic!
I like strolls on the beach, walks in the park or strolls through nature really. A good hike is always fun as well. But what a girl really likes is a nice day at the spa or some pampering time after a long stressful day. Who can relate? Today is the first day of one of my favorite seasons!
Hello here Autumn! I missed you my friend! I will miss summer & am still in denial that it's already over. It barely started in July & was over before I knew it. I could have used a few more warm days. Anybody else feel it? Anyhow, it's pumpkin time again & I couldn't be more excited. I wouldn't mind having them around more often. Pictured here is a fresh full set of Hybrid's.
A Hybrid set is a mix between Classic lashes & fanned lashes. A classic lash is a single lash attached to each of your natural lashes. Fanned lashes are several very light weight lashes (mainly fanned) attached to each of your natural lashes. Fanned lashes give such a pretty look. This is what gives the lashes the nice full & fluffy look. If you like the full look, but don't like them too over full, Hybrid's are a great choice!
