Did you know in the state of Texas, where I live, there are no licensure requirements to inject? That’s right!
Anyone, even a man in finance, 6’5”, blue eyes can take a 1 or 2 day course and begin injecting! While they would need Medical Director oversight to legally inject, that MD is not required to be in the building or even within any mile radius of your injector. And many times injectors bypass this oversight completely!

Hyaluronic acid fillers never dissolve on their own as we were once told. They are hydrophilic, which means they love water and in time can double in size, cause tissue expansion, and migrate from the original injection sight.

Problems occur when:
▪️injections are made in the wrong tissue plane
▪️wrong patient selection - not everyone is a candidate!
▪️people over inject
▪️trying to use filler to correct every little imperfection

Even though I am trained and certified to inject neuromodulators and dermal fillers, I still believe the right skincare ingredients and our hands are the best tools we have to create and maintain healthy, youthful skin.
