Whew… to think I used to be embarrassed about picking up my own inventory. I thought building a “real” brand was supposed to look a certain way. Bigger team. Bigger operation. Someone else handling the inventory.

Meanwhile, building Striking + Strong haircare has looked a lot like this: me, my SUV, a trunk full of product and figuring it out one step at a time.

And you know what? I’m proud of this part now.
Because every bottle in that trunk represents something I had the courage to build. Every pickup means there are orders to fill, shelves to stock and curlfriends choosing Striking + Strong.
The founder journey doesn’t always look glamorous.But building something from the ground up with what you have?

Kinda chic.

Behind building this brand are a lot of moving pieces and I’m learning how to make room for all of them.

Okay, we may be a little biased about that last one. But as a Texas-founded and Texas-made haircare brand, joining this timeline is a pretty special milestone for us.

We’re proud to bring performance-driven scalp and haircare made for active lives and textured hair to curlfriends across our home state. Texas-born, curlfriend-approved and proud of how far we’ve come.

Back-to-school season can bring all the feelings: pride, excitement, a few tears and the realization that the little ones in our lives really do grow up fast.
