Do you remember the last time you felt beautiful leaving the salon? I commit to making you feel like your best self.

What do we call a subtle brunette balayage these days? Expensive brown, rich brown? Something like that. Maybe we could name it after a food item. How about ‘salted caramel crunch frappe with no whip.’ 😝

Here’s a cool textured bob I did the other day. I slightly stacked the back and added a fringe in the front to give the cut a couple points of interest.

Lived-in highlights for my client. She’s super chill and down for almost anything that has low maintenance. I do my usual foiling placement on her followed up by a color melt to blend any lines.

If you’re brunette it’s time to upgrade your color with a foilayage. This will add a beautiful mixture of milk and dark chocolate tones to your hair for a brown that looks rich and dimensional.

Here’s a fun foilayage I did. She loves warm tones so we always go for a sandy, golden blonde with her toner. For curling I did s-waves and regular beach waves mixed together for a cool texture.

Here’s a gorgeous, blended foilayage I did the other day. We chose more of a neutral tone for her blonde because she’s going for beachy vibes. I curled with a 1.5” barrel iron and finished the curls with Air Control light hold hairspray.

Jen’s a badass. She’s rocking 22” custom colored volume wefts. If you want to try weft extensions be aware that maintenance is recommended around 8 weeks for a move-up. In between full reinstalls we can do a mini-move up if your hair will allow it. Full install starts at $200 a row and mini-move ups are $75 a row. Come see me for a consultation and we can talk about how to make your hair dreams come true.

What’s your favorite product for air dry days? Mine is Be Curly Style Prep because it helps define my waves and it doesn’t feel crunchy or like I have a lot of product in my hair. Comment your favorites below.

For this appointment we transformed her hair from a very solid brassy blonde to a lived-in dimensional balayage. I love how the tone we chose suits her and I make it at point for every color client to look at swatches. This helps us figure out which tones look best with their natural hair color, skin tone and eyes.

How often you wash your hair depends on your hair texture, style, whether or not you workout and how oily your scalp gets.
In general it’s best to wash once or twice a week. However if you have been bleaching your hair or do other chemical services that have made your hair more dry, you should try to wash even less to avoid breakage and split ends.
On the other hand if your scalp is super oily it would benefit you to wash up to once every day.
In between washes if you want to maintain scalp hygiene try using dry shampoo to absorb oils. My favorite is the Shampowder. It’s non aerosol and alcohol free. It’s also very helpful to brush your hair and scalp daily to loosen up any dead skin cells.
If you have curly or wavy hair you might benefit from wetting your hair down and restyling with your favorite curl products to keep your hair looking and smelling fresh.
My favorite products to use on a refresh day are the Nutriplenish Leave-In spray and the Men’s Liquid Pomade. If you have dandruff or hair loss, it’s time to visit a board certified dermatologist to get on the right track. They can help you figure out a good shampoo routine.
