Your harvest shouldn’t be lighter than the seed!
I was driving the other morning and having conversation with the Lord and was asking him for resilience during this season to see everything through that we have been believing Him for and planting seed for. I felt that in the past that my harvest was always combatted with hardship and what I prayed for was almost too much and I looked at that as a sign to step away from it because “Maybe it wasn’t meant”.
The Lord told me clearly that the harvest should never be lighter than the seed. When we plant something in abundance and it sprouts, it comes with some weight, it may take a few trips to fully gather, but that does not mean that it isn’t yours. Often times we give up when the harvest has sprouted and think it is done. If we do not take the time and have the resilience to get that harvest back into our homes the locust will come to devour all that you have waited on.
Go forth in this season and see it all the way through from the seed being planted to the very last part of your harvest being pulled into your home/storefront. Our resilience has to stand forth and our focus has to be on the Lord Jesus Christ!
Knee pain SUCKS!
During the onset of the knee pain I couldn’t figure out the cause and put up with it for way too long. Over time I looked back at my workout log and noticed that my most of my work had went away from some of the quad dominant exercises. When that’s neglected patellar pain usually follows.
If you’ve been dealing with pain along that tendon, try out this deficit reverse lunge (keep chest upright, focusing more on knee bend) as you progress in the journey to recovery.

Explosive movements are NOTHING without stability! Whether it be plyos, Olympic lifts, etc. we must make sure that we have stability through it all and most importantly in the ankle, knees, hips, and core. Our body is a kinetic chain (everything interacts or dictates another) of movements and if we allow any link to become weak it’s only a matter of time until that chain can break and not be able to be used. Make sure you handle all areas of training every day you step into the gym or onto the field or track because, for all of us, our best ability is AVAILABILITY.

The game of football is about quick bursts, precise agility and having a great mix of strength to tie in with it. With that being said the 40 is going to make a lot of people get interested but it’s the 10 yard split, the shuttle, and the L-drill that mean the most movement wise. Elite times in those seem to translate to the field much better.
