When doing tribal braids, the 🔑 to getting neat & precise parts is to make sure the braids on each side of the part are aligned with one another.
The white arrows are showing the alignment of each braid. This would be consider Symmetrical parting.

Following this tip, you can never go wrong. Use the other side as a guide line. You will have the same outcome every time. This will help with having the same amount of braids on each side of the part.
It’s usually 15-17 braids on each side for me when do this particular style.
