Happy Halloween Foolish Mortals!
Finished my Haunted Mansion’s Hatbox Ghost costume for Halloween! This took some wizardry to pull off the hatbox but pretty happy with how it turned out!
I’ve been so busy lately I haven’t had much time to work on my Halloween costume but I did make a little more progress. I finished painting the face and added the eyes. Still need to work on styling the wig and painting the hat. Here it is when the blacklight LEDs are on versus turning them off and showing how it glows in the dark! #

More progress on my Hat Box Ghost Halloween costume! 🎩 👻 Prosthetic makeup appliance completed. Painting is up next as well as LED black lights will be installed underneath the brim of the hat.

Made some progress on my Hatbox Ghost (from Haunted Mansion) Halloween costume today. 🎩 👻 Made out of EVA foam (aka. garage floor mats) and contact cement. Next step is filling gaps, sanding, sealing, then painting.
My plan is to use ultraviolet and glow in the dark paint for highlights and shadows on the costume and run blacklight LEDs throughout to give the illusion of it glowing very much like what you would see within the actual Haunted Mansion ride. I’ve included a photo of the real animatronic as a reference.
