Dermaplaning is an exfoliating treatment to reveal brighter, smoother skin. It removes the fine vellous hair and aids in easier product absorption.

A dermaplane treatment can be added to the bespoke facial.

Do you want to know what will be one of my favorite parts of Stepping INTO HER? The aromatherapy grounding & intention session.

Before we even talk, before the beverage is poured — we start here. A moment to breathe, to arrive, to set an intention for what you actually want to carry with you into this next season. No performing, no rushing. Just you, the scent, and permission to slow down.

It's such a small piece of the morning, and yet it's often the moment I watch guests visibly soften.

This is one piece of what's waiting for you at Stepping INTO HER — September 26, right here in my spa suite. Brunch, guided meditation, a mini skincare workshop, and Self Esteem nurturing.

A few spots left. Come sit with us. 🌿

Your skin isn’t suddenly “bad.” Here’s what may be changing…

Sometimes, what’s happening on the surface can be influenced by what your body is missing underneath.

Certain nutrient deficiencies can affect the way your skin looks, feels, and functions. Nutrients like vitamin D, vitamin B12, iron, zinc, essential fatty acids, and vitamin C all play different roles in skin health — from supporting collagen production and wound healing to maintaining the skin barrier and helping regulate inflammation.

When your body isn’t getting enough of what it needs, you may notice things like dryness, dullness, increased sensitivity, slower healing, changes in texture, or even more noticeable shedding or changes in your hair and nails.

That doesn’t mean every breakout or dry patch is a vitamin deficiency — our skin is rarely that simple. But sometimes it’s worth looking beyond the newest serum or moisturizer.

Your skin is part of your whole body. Sometimes supporting it means paying attention to what’s happening within, not just what you’re putting on top of it.

Your skin isn’t suddenly “bad.” Here’s what else may be changing…

Your gut and your skin may have more of a relationship than you realize.

Researchers often refer to something called the gut-skin axis — the connection between our digestive system, immune system, inflammation, and the health of our skin.

When digestion is disrupted or the balance of the gut microbiome changes, some people may notice changes in their skin too. That can sometimes show up as increased inflammation, sensitivity, breakouts, dryness, or flare-ups of certain skin concerns.

But this isn’t about blaming every pimple on something you ate or jumping onto another restrictive diet.

Sleep, stress, hormones, medications, nutrition, hydration, skincare habits, environment — they can all play a part.

Sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is become curious rather than critical.

Your skin may be asking you to look at the whole picture — not because something is “wrong” with you, but because skin health has never existed in isolation.

Your skin isn’t suddenly “bad. Here is what’s changing….
Your hormones.

Fluctuations in hormones- whether they’re increasing, decreasing, or simply shifting can absolutely show up in your skin. Changes in estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone can influence oil production, hydration, inflammation, collagen, and even how quickly your skin seems to recover.

That may look like
✔️inflammatory breakouts
✔️increased dryness
✔️excess oil
✔️changes in texture
✔️loss of firmness /collagen
✔️skin that suddenly feels more reactive than usual

And this is not the time to panic and throw every trending product at your face to “fix” it. Sometimes the better approach is to listen to your skin. Support it. Simplify where needed. Adjust what no longer serves it.

Your skin doesn’t need punishment. It may just need a different kind of care for the season it’s in. 💖
Your skin is communicating with you. The goal isn’t to fight it, it’s to understand what it needs now.

There’s something quietly powerful about a foot soak.

Warm water. A few flower petals. Ten minutes where nothing is required of you but to sit still.
It’s simple- almost deceptively so. But simple is usually exactly what our nervous systems are craving.

As we close out August , I want to invite you to start thinking ahead to September. Not a big overhaul. But just one small ritual you return to again and again.

September is self-care awarenss month, and the goal was never to do more. It was to be consistent even in the smallest ways.

Start small. Start simple. Start here, if you’d like.

Peace, love & beauty ✨
