🥳CAKE CAKE CAKE 🎂 Cheers to 52 years!

I’m not entirely sure how this became my number, but it is, and I intend to enjoy it to the fullest. It’s like you’re 24 one day and then all of a sudden you’re in your 50s! Like, how the heck did that happen?!

To be transparent, 2025 was a challenging year to put it mildly. The last six months brought some big-time challenges, and there were times I wasn’t sure how I would navigate them. BUT, I gave it my absolute best even through the toughest moments, I remained committed to coming through with a positive outcome. I’m proud to report that my confidence and positivity made it through intact—which is a miracle in itself.

God, in His infinite wisdom, knew exactly what was needed. He granted me grace and placed two angels on earth to support me: my husband and my little brother. I cannot express enough gratitude for what these two strong men have done for me. I am in awe of them daily and feel incredibly blessed to have their support through it all.

Here’s to moving forward with gratitude, resilience, and a whole lot of cake. 52, I’m ready for you! 🎂🥳

MILESTONE ALERT: I took my first drive yesterday! 🚗💨

Honestly, the freedom felt incredible. Getting behind the wheel again is a huge testament to the hard work going on behind the scenes in physical therapy & the work at home.

If you swipe through, you’ll see a little “then vs. now” of my recovery. The first video was just last week—slow and steady wins the race, right? But look at Week 2 in the next slide! The motion is getting smoother and faster. It’s tough work, but seeing that progress keeps me going.

Life lately has also been about slowing down and soaking up the precious moments. I’m loving the quality time with my fellow “cane buddy” (my sweet Dad ❤️), sweet cuddles with my great-niece, and a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by my amazing family.

Here’s the honest truth: I’m sitting right at the intersection of excited and nervous. I’m thrilled with how well I’m doing so far, but I also have my next surgery coming up in just two weeks. It’s a lot to process.

But when the nerves creep in, I lean into what I know: my incredible support system is everything, and above all else, God’s comfort is constant. One day at a time, He’s got me. 🙏✨

How are you finding comfort in your own busy season right now? Let me know below I’m not alone! Comment below👇

☝🏽Trust is the foundation of my business. So, when a client reaches out because a service didn’t go as planned, I set aside any personal disappointment and go straight into problem-solving mode.

☝🏽My commitment is to correct the service and exceed your expectations at no additional cost.

☝🏽I consistently tell my clients how much I value their feedback, good or bad. I appreciate your time, energy, and trust, and I will always make things right.

☝🏽I’m lucky to have the best clients. If they tell me something isn’t perfect, I listen—and usually, I’ve already identified the same thing. As professionals, we must understand the value of a client’s trust, and I never take it for granted.

☝🏽My sweet client pictured here wasn’t happy with her initial results. She sent pics, and I knew exactly where I went wrong. We set up a time to correct it immediately. The last thing I want is for someone to feel they have to wait until the next session to get results that should have been great the first time.

☝🏽Take a look at the first after, and the final correction. Thank goodness she was happy—that’s all that matters to me! A huge thank you and so much love for my boo for coming in to help me for this corrective service. I’m still in recovery but was able to get my client in with Pam’s help. Thank God for amazing friends 🙏🏽♥️

🫶🏽 Stylists, how do you approach these situations? I’m curious to know! Comment below!

My fave products used:
Lightener
Sophistone Gloss
👌🏽Milbon’s lightener is the best I’ve used like ever! This Japanese brand gets it. Levels 1-5, amazing consistent lift leaving the hairs integrity in tact.

✨My biggest cosmetology school confession... and the lesson I had to learn the hard way. The fear of failure can be completely paralyzing, but waiting for it to disappear is not an option. You have to move through it.

⚡️If you’re a student or a new stylist feeling stuck, this one’s for you. You’re not alone in that feeling, but you don’t have to let it win. You can do anything when you make the commitment to yourself. DO IT🙌🏽♥️

📣 New Month, New Focus:
Let’s Talk About the “NEW” 📣

⚡️This month is for the cosmetology students, the recent grads, and the stylists in their first few years behind the chair. I see you, and I remember exactly what it feels like.

😱That mix of excitement and pure terror? It’s real. So, I’m dedicating this month to navigating the NEW in a way that’s both safe and incredibly smart. We’re going to cut through the noise and get real about building a career with confidence.
Get ready, because I’m opening up my playbook from the last 31 years.

🗣️We’ll be talking about:

⚡️The Cosmetology School Chronicles: I’ll share the unfiltered story of my first truly disastrous attempt at a layered cut and the simple mindset shift that changed everything for me. 🤫

⚡️Surviving (and Thriving) The First 5 Years:

Forget just building a clientele. I’ll be dropping gems on how I learned to find the right clients and the right salon home—a lesson that defined my early career.

⚡️From My Salon to Yours:
After mentoring dozens of new stylists in my own salons for over a decade, I’ve seen it all. I’ll be sharing the most common pitfalls new stylists face and, more importantly, the proven strategies to leapfrog over them.

My goal is to give you the advice I wish I’d had—honest, direct, and designed to help you build a career you’re proud of.
