Let’s make Black Eyed Peas 🫛 These were so flavorful, filling and delicious yall! I don’t know why I don’t make these on the regular 16 ounce dry black eyed peas 12 cups of water( or until your ham hocks are covered) 2 ham hocks( you can also use turkey) 1 chopped onion 1 tsp garlic 1 teaspoon kosher salt Complete seasoning Poultry seasoning Pepper 1 teaspoon sugar 1 tsp olive oil 8 oz chicken stock (or until beans are covered) Boil your ham hocks for 2-3 hours they should be fork tender and slightly falling apart while your ham hocks are cooking Place your beans in a bowl to sort and find bad beans some people like to wash their beans I don’t I like to soak them for 30 minutes to an hour in chicken stock once your ham hocks are tender add your beans and seasoning and cover let them cook for 1 1/2 hours or until your peas are tender and that’s it super easy I paired mine with rice, cornbread and hot sauce so good!!!!
