"When can I work out again?"
It’s a common question after an aesthetic treatment, but the answer isn’t always the same.
Exercise temporarily changes what’s happening in your body. Blood flow increases. Body temperature rises. You sweat. And depending on the treatment you’ve had, those changes may contribute to swelling, redness, bruising, or irritation while the area is still settling.
But there’s another part we don’t always think about:
The workout itself isn’t the only consideration.
Sweat, heat, wiping your face, and pressure from workout equipment or clothing can also matter after certain procedures.
That’s why I don’t love giving one universal “wait ___ hours” rule for every treatment.
Aftercare should make sense for:
• The procedure performed
• The area treated
• How your skin or tissue responds
• Your individual treatment plan
Your workout routine isn’t going anywhere.
Give your treatment the appropriate time first, then get back to it based on the aftercare instructions your provider gives you.
What’s the first thing you usually ask after a treatment?
Houston - I’ll see you at RISE. 🔥
I’m excited to join the faculty at RISE Summit, October 2–3 at Hotel ZaZa Houston, for two days focused on advancing the science, technique, and artistry of aesthetics.
I’ll be joining the Regenerative Aesthetics Panel to discuss where regenerative medicine is headed, how I’m incorporating regenerative therapies into clinical practice, and what I believe actually has the evidence to move the needle for our patients.
I’ll also be leading the Advanced Neurotoxins Clinical Track hands-on station taking a deeper dive into advanced assessment, anatomy, injection strategy, product selection, dosing, placement, and the techniques I use every day to create individualized, natural results.
If you’re an injector who wants to go beyond memorizing injection patterns and better understand the why behind what we do, this is going to be a great two days.

I can also make this more high-energy and punchy for a Reel, with a stronger opening hook and less conference-style wording.
Before you tell your provider, "No, I'm not taking anything important," take another look.
Prescription medications aren't the only things worth mentioning.
Vitamins, herbal supplements, and over-the-counter medications can also be part of the bigger picture.
If you're unsure whether something matters, bring it up.
That's exactly what your consultation is for.

Can sleeping on your side actually cause wrinkles?
The answer is a little more nuanced than a simple yes or no.
When your face rests against a pillow for hours, the skin is exposed to pressure, compression, and folding. Over time, that repeated mechanical stress may contribute to certain lines becoming more noticeable.
But sleeping position is only one piece of a much bigger picture.
How your face ages is influenced by:
• Genetics
• Sun exposure
• Collagen and elastin changes
• Skin quality
• Facial movement
• Volume and structural changes
• Lifestyle and overall health
So no, I wouldn't lose sleep trying to avoid every possible crease.
Good-quality sleep matters, too.
The more useful question isn't, “Am I sleeping wrong?”
It's understanding that facial aging is multifactorial, and no single habit tells the whole story.
Are you a side sleeper, stomach sleeper, or back sleeper?

Lower face rejuvenation isn't always about adding volume.
As we age, changes in the lower face can come from several places: skin laxity, collagen loss, changes in facial volume, and the underlying structures that support the face.
In this before and after, you can see improvement in:
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Skin firmness
• Lower-face definition
• Overall skin quality
So, what does skin tightening actually do?
Depending on the procedure being used, skin-tightening treatments can target deeper layers of the skin and stimulate a healing response that supports new collagen production.
That collagen doesn't appear overnight. It remodels gradually, which can help improve firmness, soften the appearance of wrinkles, and create a smoother, more refreshed appearance over time.
But here's the important part:
Not every change in the lower face is a skin problem.
If laxity, volume loss, or structural changes are contributing, simply “tightening the skin” may not address everything you're seeing.
That's why I always come back to the same place: understand the anatomy first, then decide what treatment makes sense.
What changes have you noticed most in your lower face?
Your doctor should earn your "yes", not just ask for it.
Before any treatment, ask three questions: What's actually causing this? Why this treatment, specifically? What else could work?
If a consultation only tells you what to do, you're missing half the conversation. The good ones explain why.

If you understand the science of skin aging…
you realize SPF alone isn’t enough.
Most sunscreens are built to block or absorb UV.
That’s important… but it’s only one piece of the problem.
What actually drives aging?
• UV-induced DNA damage
• Reactive oxygen species (ROS)
• Chronic inflammation
• Breakdown of collagen and your extracellular matrix
That’s where next-level protection comes in.
Pavise Dynamic Age Defense
This is not just a sunscreen. It’s a bioadaptive defense system.
It combines UV protection with antioxidant pathways designed to reduce oxidative stress and limit DNA damage at a cellular level.
You’re not just blocking light…
you’re actively reducing the downstream damage that leads to aging.
Heliocare Advanced Gel Body
This is where oral and topical science meet.
Powered by Fernblock® (Polypodium leucotomos extract), it has published data showing:
• Reduction in UV-induced free radical formation
• Decreased DNA damage
• Support of the skin’s immune response to UV exposure
Translation: it helps your skin defend itself, not just rely on a barrier.
Here’s the clinical reality:
UV exposure doesn’t just burn the skin.
It alters cellular function, accelerates collagen breakdown, and creates long-term structural damage.
So if your SPF isn’t addressing oxidative stress and DNA repair pathways…
you’re only doing part of the job.
Better inputs = better outcomes.
Protect the skin intelligently.
Because great skin isn’t just about what you do in the treatment room…
it’s what you do every single day.

Day 3 post 3D Miracle and this is where precision matters.
At this stage, we are not “scrubbing the skin”… we are guiding the final phase of controlled exfoliation.
Today I performed a very light, targeted exfoliation to help remove the superficial layer of skin that has already been treated and released from the underlying tissue. We are talking about approximately 10 microns in depth. Extremely controlled. Extremely intentional.
For this, I used the Revision Skincare Triple-Action Exfoliator.
Why this matters…
After a 3D Miracle treatment, the skin has already initiated a regenerative cascade. The damaged keratinocytes have done their job. Now it is about safely clearing that layer to reveal the healthier, more organized skin underneath.
Done correctly:
• You enhance brightness and clarity
• You improve texture faster
• You support more uniform healing
Done incorrectly:
• You risk irritation
• You disrupt barrier recovery
• You compromise results
This is the difference between “post care” and clinical post care.
Every step is calculated. Every product has a purpose. Every micron matters.
This is how we take a great result… and turn it into an exceptional one.

48 hours post 3D Miracle… and this is where the magic starts to show.
At this stage, what you’re seeing is early collagen signaling and controlled epidermal turnover. The redness has settled, the heat is gone, and now the skin is transitioning into repair mode.
This is where outcomes are either optimized… or compromised.
Most patients think the treatment ends when they leave the office.
It doesn’t.
48 hours post procedure is when your skin is highly receptive to signaling molecules that influence how well you heal, how quickly you recover, and ultimately the quality of your result.
This is why post care matters just as much as the treatment itself.
We’re not just calming the skin.
We’re directing the biology of healing.
The goal is simple
Reduce unnecessary inflammation
Support keratinocyte turnover
Optimize extracellular matrix repair
And enhance long term collagen remodeling
This is how you take a great treatment… and turn it into a transformational result.
If you’re investing in advanced treatments but not investing in proper post care, you’re leaving results on the table.
