Making cakes for my kiddos is always one of my favorite things! šŸŽ‚ā¤ļø This year, I had to make a 16-year-old cake for the baby! šŸ„¹šŸ’™

He is so much fun to celebrate—except he prefers ice cream over cake, lol! šŸ˜‚ I made the vanilla cake base and then went to get my ice cream maker… only to realize I couldn’t find it! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø Apparently, that’s the first thing I’ve needed since the move that I didn’t have unpacked yet. Oops! šŸ˜‚

Thankfully, Blue Bell came to the rescue, and the birthday boy was still happy! šŸ¦šŸŽ‰ Everyone else loved the cake, so I’d say it was a success!

šŸ… The first taste of fall is officially in the pantry! šŸ…

There is just something about a kitchen full of fresh tomatoes, canning jars, and the smell of sauce simmering on the stove that makes my farmhouse heart so happy. ā¤ļø

I was incredibly grateful to get my hands on 55 pounds of beautiful, clean organic tomatoes, and every last one was processed into the most AMAZING homemade pizza sauce!

Fifty-five pounds of tomatoes. Lots of washing, chopping, simmering, seasoning, and canning later…and I’m looking at those jars with the biggest smile. There’s something so satisfying about taking simple, wholesome ingredients and preserving them to enjoy around our table for months to come.

This officially kicks off my fall canning season, and I couldn’t be more excited! šŸ‚šŸ…šŸ«™

Here’s to full jars, stocked pantries, messy kitchens, and getting back to the old-fashioned goodness of knowing exactly what’s in the food we feed our families.

And this is only the beginning… šŸ¤Ž

This might be my favorite order in 2026! I love a good celebration and turning double digits definitely is a good reason for CAKE! I am now open for celebration orders.

After weeks of unpacking, organizing the new kitchen, and learning a new oven (and a little time away to recharge), I’m officially heading back into the kitchen! šŸ„–šŸ§

I’ll be filling orders again soon, and I’m putting the finishing touches on the new A Seasoned Kitchen website. Bakery hours will be announced shortly, making it easier than ever to place orders and know when fresh bakes are available.

Thank you for your patience during our move and this season of transition. I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love—creating intentional, from-scratch baked goods for your table. Stay tuned… we’re almost ready!

ā˜• Day 10 and 11. Same coffee. Fresh start.

I was up early this morning, and it feels good to begin the day with a fresh start.

Yesterday didn’t quite go as planned—I overslept—but I decided not to stress about it. Instead, I focused on getting every box in the house unpacked and put away. I’d say it was mostly a success! šŸ™Œ

This morning I’m finishing up what’s left on the breakfast table, then it’s on to the bedroom.

After today, all that’s left is organizing the garage, sorting through dĆ©cor, and taking storage items where they belong.

My weekend goal? To finish this move once and for all so I can shift my focus back to A Seasoned Kitchen and get the kiddos ready for the new school year.

One room at a time.
One box at a time.
One cup of coffee at a time. ā˜•šŸ”šŸ¤

I’m so ready to close this moving chapter and start the next one. Stay tuned! šŸ’š

Happy Wednesday! Getting Gluten Free ready to deliver to HAVEN & ROOTS! New flavor alert: Roasted Garlic and Roots Loaf! I have an addiction for roasted garlic it’s a sweet and creamy texture and when baked gives the vessel a delicious flavor. Thinking of Haven and Roots and their mission I used a seasoning that uses roared root vegetables and Italian seasonings. It is amazing and would also make delicious croutons. Still in the midst of unpacking so off to make my morning coffee!!

Day 4. Same coffee. More progress.

Yesterday was one of those days where you look around and realize, ā€œWe’re getting there.ā€

The house is starting to feel like home instead of a place full of boxes. Every room we finish brings a little more peace, and every little decorating project makes this place feel more like us.

Today’s goal is to finish the boxes inside the house so tomorrow we can all tackle the garage together. I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

This move has been a lot of work, but it’s also been such a reminder that home isn’t built in a day. It’s built one box, one room, one memory, and one cup of coffee at a time.

I’m so thankful for this new chapter and for everyone following along as we turn this house into a home. šŸ¤šŸ”ā˜•

Same coffee. New day. ā˜•šŸ¤

Yesterday was errands and things forgotten. Today is unpacking, organizing, and making this house feel like home.

The kitchen is calling my name, and I can’t wait to get it ready for fresh bread, homemade desserts, and all the goodness to come.

One cup of coffee and one box at a time. šŸ”

Some mornings are about productivity. Others are about gratitude.

Today, it’s both.

I’m sipping coffee in a brand-new kitchen that still has boxes to unpack, cabinets to organize, and memories waiting to be made. Every corner is a reminder that God has been so faithful.

I can’t wait to fill this home with the smell of fresh bread, homemade desserts, and people gathered around the table.

Welcome to ASK’s new home. ā¤ļø
